Ticket help please

Hello,
I'm actually posting this for a friend....they are going to need 2 adult 5 day park hopper tickets and 2 child 5 day park hopper tickets, where is the cheapest place to get them? We have AP, but so far the research I've done for them leads me to Hotwire...they would get 5 day park hopper plus tickets for I think about the same price as a reg. park hopper ticket. Any suggestions?

We found 4 day hoppers to be cheapest at the Disney Store. You don't have to pay shipping/handling and the tax is the same as ordering them online. If they do hotwire, won't they have to pay a fee to join the Savings Club or have to remember to cancel by a certain date?

Have them join Hotwire. Tell them to put a post-it note on the computer to cancel with the cut off date. They cannot be beat on ticket prices. They also have free shipping, tax is included in price.

I just ordered another 7 day hopper plus for $303. That comes out to be $43.28 a day not counting the 4 plusses which are worth over $100 if you use them at the Water parks.

Also, if they get the 7 day instead of the 5 day they could sell the left over days on Ebay. For weeks I've been watching 2 day hoppers with 2 plusses go for well over $150, adult and child.
That would considerably lower the dollar amount spent on their tickets.

I'd do that except I know I'll use every day on every hopper I'll ever buy.

I say, to make it all easier, just go to TDS. If they want to purchase on the web use Hotwire to get the discount.

Do not suggest to them to buy or sell any Disney tickets on Ebay because Disney theme park tickets are non-transferrable.

If the tickets were truly non-transferrable, Disney would have you sign the back and ask for ID at the gate.

They would also stop Ebay from allowing people to sell them there. Believe me, if Disney did not want that to happen, it wouldn't.

A lot of people get ripped off or rip off other people when it comes to buying and selling Disney themepark tickets on Ebay or any auction site. I am sure that there are some honest people out there who do sell tickets with certain amount of days left on them but there are a lot threads that come up on this board about how people get jipped out of their money. There is no way for you check the days left on a Park hopper unless you're down in Orlando, so to each his own. I just wouldn't recommendd buying non-transferrable tickets to others from any auction site.

There is nothing worst than spending money on used tickets and getting to the World and having no days on your tickets and then having to buy tickets all over again (really hurts). Also, I've heard some people having run-ins with Disney authorities because the used tickets they bought were reported stolen or lost. Buying theme park tickets the lawful way saves you the embarrasment if something like that were to ever happen.

There are a lot of things that shouldn't be sold on Ebay, but you know the rules and the consequences behind buying non-transferrable tickets online. I'd rather be safe than sorry.

I respect your opinion even though I do not agree, at least with some of it.

If you are a careful, informed buyer you can safely buy just about anything on Ebay. If you buy from an established seller with great feedback, you can expect a smooth transaction. Being smart about it is the key.

If you are a seller, what is there to lose? If they don't send you the money, you don't send them the product. You may be out a few bucks from Ebay, but I think that's rare.

I just purchased an adult and child 4 day hopper plus passes from Hotwire Savings Club. Hotwire has a 30 free trial offer too so just remember to cancel within that time. Free shipping and the passes arrived three business days after i ordered them. I think it was a very good deal - the price was best i found. (I wasn't planning to buy hopper plus passes but the price was less than hopper passes anywhere else).
