I know there are some UK folks on this forum, so wondering if any of you has recent experience to share. I purchased Universal tickets from Attraction Tickets in the UK, because they were offering a good deal on combined Universal + Disney tickets, adults for child's price. All seems ok, they've sent me a PDF that I can print and use as a direct-to-gate ticket (have also been able to scan those tickets and add them my Universal app). It does say on the PDF ticket that photo id is required.
Just curious what kind of photo id they will ask for at the gate? My children will be 17 at the time we travel, and do not have photo id apart from their passports. Will we be expected to produce passports at the gate? Or will they not ask for photo id?
Also, with these UK tickets, are they going to want some proof of UK-ness with the photo ID? We currently live in Canada, but my husband and kids are UK citizens, so I could bring their UK passports along on the trip. But if we need to show proof of UK residency, we really can't honestly do that as we no longer live there. (and so this might be a deal-breaker for these tickets - I did buy them with the fully-refundable option).
I was hoping these would work just like any other direct-to-gate ticket where we got our fingerprint scanned / photo taken the first time we used the tickets, and then scanned on subsequent visits. No photo id needed.
