I'm curious what I need to do for a ticket if my son turns 3 during our stay? For a few days he would be 2 and then would turn 3 so he'd require a ticket at that point. Do they go by his age when we first arrive or would I buy a ticket for however many days he'd be three? The price between the 3 and 5 day tickets aren't much different so if we do have to purchase a ticket for him, I'm thinking it might be wise to adjust the dates of our trip since we could save a couple hundred dollars.

your son gets to stay 2 for his entire stay. Walt doesn't allow ageing in the World!

Great! Thank you for your replies :)
It's a good excuse to spend more time in the World - I don't like aging :)

I will tell you that when we went and our son was turning 3, it was less expensive to purchase park tickets than it was to feed him. We went during free dining. If we make him 3 he ate for free. That is just how it worked for us, probably not for everyone else.

This happened to us when we went in 2010 and we just purchased tickets and dining for our daughter.

We went when our son was almost 3(he was turning 3 at the end of the month, and we were there at the beginning) and had free dining. We ended up buying him meals when it wasn't a buffet or table service. He wasn't dealing well with eating off our plates.

My question is...how would they (WDW) know he turned 3 years old...and what does it matter?
