ticket exchange for ap renewal??

Our AP's run out mid-may but we are visiting WDW for one-two days the end of May. We had a few days left on old PH's and thought we'd just use those. But that left our DD out. So we bought a new 2-day PH (that expires the end of 2005) from one of the ticket outlets rec. on another site. No problems so far, except...

Now, we think we WILL renew our AP's. I want to know if we can exchange the value of the child's 2-day PH to pay for renewing my DD's AP (I know we'll have to do it at Disney--that's OK).

What kind of value is this sort of pass likely to have? Are there any issues I'm not considering? Would I just be better off selling the ticket (no names or anything on it) to someone else?

If it carries an expiration date of 12/31/05 it is most likely a specialty ticket (convention, sports, etc) that is not upgradeable. Regular MYW tickets do not have expiration dates like that. You can have Guest Relations scan it to be sure. If they say it isn't a specialty ticket, you're in luck. But be prepared in case it is.

Then it sounds as if my best bet is to sell the ticket to someone else (perhaps a family member who's going).
