Ticket entry after 5:00 FP question.

My husband and I have convention tickets for entry after 5:00. We'll be going to Epcot. I'm wondering if I can book my two 2nd tier FP at 3:00 and 4:00 (not using them) then book Soarin at 5:00. Hoping to maybe snag a second Soarin FP but not a big deal if we don't.

I am so excited for an adult only visit to Epcot! This was never in the plans this year.....it just fell into place! Rides really aren't a priority, the Flower and Garden festival is!

You must book 3 tier 2s or 1 tier 1 and 2 tier 2s. You cannot just book 2 tier 2 FPs as a shortcut to a tier 1

And also understand sometimes letting them expire doesn't clear them out of MDE.

I don’t think the OP is wanting to book 2 tier 2 FPS as a “shortcut”. They want to book all three FPS like normal, with soarin at 5 pm and the other two earlier. By letting them expire and using the soarin fp, op is hoping to get another soarin fp.

I might be wrong, but is this what you’re saying op?

We’ve never had a problem with letting FPS expire and getting more after the initial 3 were used up.

Oh my gosh...duh!

And I've seen here from several usually letting them expire is fine. Just every now and again someone posts about them not expiring or expiring and not dropping off making that 4th FP difficult.

Posters are missing the question. OP has a ticket which is valid for entry at 5p. Can the OP book a FP prior to 5p.

Party or DAH tickets don’t allow entry until later in the day, but you can book FP earlier than your entry time. I assume the after 5 conference tickets will too.

Yes this will work. You can book FP for anytime with the convention ticket. If you’re worried about the expiring piece not working, make SSE the FP from 4-5. The convention ticket will let you enter at 4:45. So enter at 4:45, tap out the FP for SSE as you pass it (but don’t ride if you don’t want to), then head to Soarin. I’ve never had a problem letting one expire so that should work.
