On our trip just ended, we discovered that you can add additional park days to a MYW ticket that has nothing on it (no park days, no pluses, etc). We added a day on the second to last day of the trip and only had to pay the difference between the original purchase price and the cost of adding one extra day. Since we'd originally purchased the park-hopper option, we didn't have to pay for that, either. So, essentially, our ticket was 'empty' and it only cost us $11 to add one more day!
