Ticket Discount Question

Is it true that only the DVC members are entitled to the Ticket Pass Discount for the LOS passes?

My parents are the DVC owners and my sisters and I are listed as associate members. I thought that entitled us to not only reservation priviledges but ticket discounts.

When I called today to confirm my upcoming vacation the cast member indicated that only my parents with their ID cards can get the discount....is this correct?

If that is true I will probably go with the 7 day park hopper plus with either the Disney Club prearrival purchase...or does someone have a review of using Paramount Travel...from what I am hearing the price is discounted more than Disney Club and you also get a breakfast voucher....

We have taken guests on our last three trips and they were always given our 10% discount on UPH (formerly known as LOS) passes. In fact, on two of those trips they paid for the passes themselves. We just went down to the desk with them and showed our IDs and told them they were guests in our room (which they were). No problem. They are usually very lenient about letting you drop the first and/or last day of your stay as well.
