Do you think WDW is going to change the Magic Your Way Tickets. I think there are just to many choices. It just makes your head spin. They need to simplify the tickets again. And, cut the prices down.

As far as prices go, several years back a bus driver for disney transportation informed us that Disney keeps the prices so high for one reason...not to increase profits but to keep attendence down. If the tickets were more affordable, the gates would be "overrun by hordes of people." And I quote.

That actually makes sense.

I don't see the ticket structuring as being too complicated, personally.... you get to pick, one park/day, parkhopper, add waterparks/extras

Is there another one I'm forgetting?

The more days you buy the cheaper it gets. You are getting a deal if you buy a 10 day ticket. Unless Universal, Sea World lowers their prices I doubt you will see Disney lower their prices.

The MYW tickets are the best. You get to choose exactly what you need. My friends and I are going down to the world- they were able to get 8 day hoppers for $882 (or close to it)- since they are not planning on going back they didn't purchase the no expiration option. However, since my family has been many times we bought the 10 hopper w no expiration (which now cost $1435- 2006 prices).

What I think is ridiculous is the price they are charging for the no expiration tickets -Its 135 per ticket on a 8-10 hopper. I was fortunate to be reading the DIS on December 31, 2005 and bought my hoppers then, before the price increase on Jan 1, 2006 so my no expiration option only cost $100 a ticket, but we plan to do a park all day from early morning to late at night and rest the next day and enjoy the resort so the tickets will last us a few trips. Whereas my friends, who have only been to Disney once will probably go to the parks every day for a half day, because they have young kids so they will use their 8 day hopper.

I wonder how many people are loosing out with unused days with the expiration tickets. Unless you know you can go upgrade your ticket before you leave-you loose out. I feel if you pay for your tickets and not use days, they should be good forever. I wish Disney would get away with the expiring days and put the cost of the ticket somewhere inbetween. To me that is just mean having people loose out if they didn't use all their days on their ticket.

you will "lose out" if you are not careful. And that is one thing that Disney is counting on. At least, it sure won't bother them if you don't use a day or 2 of your passes and just let them expire. That is one of the many reasons that people should plan their vacations at Disney carefully, and only buy the tickets thay will actually need/use!!! :goodvibes

My only issue when they changed the tickets to MYW is adding $35 to park hop.I have a seasonal pass and when i go with a fl. resident and they purchase a 1 day hopper pass it's like $63 which is fine, but if you're a non-florida resident $95 for a 1 day hopper is ludicrous.

I like the MYW tix program, but I do wish hopping was just a bit cheaper. For budget-conscious guests it really is quite an increase.
