Ticket Buying Time Again

It's been a long while since we bought tickets. Is the Mousesaver's link for Undercover Tourist still the best bet for purchasing tickets?

There's been a deal on Ebates lately where you get 10% cash back when you buy "activity" deals from Orbitz, and Disney tickets qualify as an "activity." Sometimes it's only 5% cash back, but a couple of weeks ago it was 10% and they seem to run that special every month or so. There's a long thread here on the Budget Board about it, if you look back a page you should find it, as someone posted on it yesterday.

Something else to consider is that you can purchase your tickets at Disney, using as many gift cards as payment as you wish.

If you do rewards programs for Disney GCs and combine them with Disney GCs purchased using your Target REDCard + Target Pharmacy Rewards (a 9.75% savings), you can actually do better than buying them through UT, where the biggest discount is about 6% off of the gate price.

You can also do the Orbitz rebate through ebates, but you will pay Orbitz's price upfront and wait quite a while for your ebates "Big Fat Check". However, Orbitz's prices are very close to UT's prices and you will get the ebates money back as well. In the long run, this is the cheapest way to get tickets without being part of a convention or meeting. It's just that you will be out of pocket for the full amount until your ebates rebate credits and your quarterly check is sent.
