Ticket bridging?

Is this still done at WDW with outside vendor tickets? I bought a 7 day PH from UT. I paid $470 for it. On Disney's site that same ticket is $516. I want to upgrade it to a DVC annual pass which costs $595 so if bridging is still done I should pay $79 at guest services correct?

2. WHEN did you buy it?
3. $516.53, to be exact.
4. $595.34, to be exact.
5. Well, that can depend on exactly WHEN you got your UT ticket and what date it was minted at Disney.

@Robo , I don't have actual tickets. I received e tickets from UT and immediately added them to MDE so I assume I just need my magic band to do the upgrade.....Do I still have to at least enter a park with the new ticket before bridging ??
