Ticket Booth Opening Hours

As I booked my tickets through expedia, I am now in posession of a paper voucher, which I need to exchange at the main DL ticket booths in order to collect my park tickets.

Does anybody know what time these open? I land at SNA at 21:11 on a friday night, so the park is open until midnight that day. It opens at 8am the next day.

Am I likely to be able to exchange my voucher either Friday night (my preferred option) or first thing Saturday morning in time to use my Magic Morning on that day, or will I have to wait until Monday to use this (I'm going 3rd - 6th October, so I believe Sunday's magic morning has been moved to Monday)

I would like to know the answer to this question, too. DD and DSIL are meeting us at 7:00 am next Saturday for a day of Disney fun. DH, DS, and I have APs and I'll be buying Southern California APs for DD and DSIL that day. I'm hoping that we can purchase their APs before 8:00 am.

I called earlier this week and a CM told me that they can purchase their APs on a Saturday and still enter the park even though it is a block out day. Can anyone confirm this or should I buy them a different type of ticket to convert to an AP once we're inside the park?

Any info will be appreciated!

from my understanding, ticket booths open anywere from 15-30 minutes before regular park opening. so if the park is schedule to open at 8am, then the tickets booths will open up anywhere between 7:30am to 7:45am (could be a little earlier, could be a little later). i don't believe there is a set time. and typically the tickets booths remain open til an hour before closing...so if the park closes at midnight, then the booth should remain open til 11pm. if you can get to the park around 10:30pm or so, you should be able to get your vouchers and get your tickets that night (for MM use the next morning).

in regards to APs, i think the CM stated that you can purchase your AP and still go into the parks even though it's a blocked day because you're likely to just pay the extra $40 to get in on a blocked day (AP holders pay $40 to get into the parks on blocked days).

The time that the ticket booths open on any given day is subject to change, but a recent email from the park states that they open 30 minutes before Magic Morning begins on MM days.

Hopefully, that thread is right and they haven't changed it and your understanding is based on a one off change, rather than the normal

yes, that information regarding the ticket booths opening 30 minutes prior to MM opening is actually from me (DLR29 updated that section after i PM'd him the email that i got from guest services) i called DL a few times and emailed too...i'm actually hoping to pick up my tickets from the ticket booths and do an MM the same morning! we arrive too late to pick up our tickets since DL closes at 10pm wednesday night and we arrive at SNA at 9:15pm. the next day, thursday, MM starts at 8am (since regular park opening is at 9am)...so i'm hoping that the ticket booths open up at 7:30am...in time for me to pick up my tickets and do MM at 8am!

A couple of quick comments on items mentioned in this thread.

You mentioned if you don't use MM on Sat., you'll use it on Monday.

MM is almost always ONLY available on SUN/TUE/THUR/SAT. (Is there something going on that would cause it to be on Monday?)

Also, this has been discussed often on the board, & the ALMOST unanimous opinion is that the ticket booth will NOT open 20-30 min. prior to MM opening. It will open 20-30 min. prior to Gen. Adm. opening.

EDITING - JUST READ NORTHSHOREMAMA'S COMMENT ON BOOTHS OPENING PRIOR TO MM. I HOPE IT IS...BUT I'D BE PREPARED FOR IT NOT TO BE.

Best to get your tickets on Friday night when you arrive if possible.

i just called guest relations (714-781-7290)...was on hold for about 10 minutes...anyways, i spoke with a CM named Trisha and i asked her what time the ticket booths would open tomorrow, since tomorrow (tuesday) would be a MM day. she confirmed that DL opens at 10am tomorrow, so MM would start at 9am, so the tickets booths open roughly 30 minutes before. i asked "30 minutes before what? before MM or before regular park opening?". she answered "30 minutes before MM, so tickets booths open at 8:30am tomorrow". i really hope this is now the case. it doesn't look like anyone has tried to exchange vouchers for tickets the same morning they want to do an MM....but this is exactly what i plan to do in a couple of weeks! wish me luck!

i know i could do my MM on saturday, but that would mean MM would start at 7am since the park opens at 8am. on the the thursday before, the park opens at 9am, so MM would be at 8am (which seems more do-able).

thanks, hound 109! i did end up calling again later this afternoon...and spoke with another CM (Kristie or Kristen...don't remember)...and she told me the opposite she said what most of the DISers are saying...that the ticket booths open 30 mins before REGULAR park opening. so of course, i told her that i spoke with Trisha earlier today and that Trisha had told me that the ticket booths open 30 mins before MM on an MM day. Kristie said that was incorrect. oh well...i do plan on calling the day we leave (wednesday) to ask what time the ticket booths will be opening on thursday. i still have some faith. if i'm not mistaken out of the 4 times i've called (i called a couple times in the last 8 weeks or so), 1/2 the times i called, i've gotten a "yes, the ticket booths open 30 minutes before MM", and the other half was a "no, the ticket booths open 30 minutes before regular park hours". BUT i did get an email from DL guest relations stating that the booths do open 30 mins before MM. we'll see.

i'll definitely report back in a couple of weeks!
