My husband and I will be in Orlando for two weeks in January and plan on visiting all the parks for a day. We would like to take a few days between parks ... what would be best strategy be for tickets over that time period. Thanks for your assistance.

Most economical...
Buy a 4-day ticket and use it over the course of 7 continuous days.
If you buy a 4-day Hopper PLUS, you can use it over the course of 8 continuous days.

Otherwise, if you want to use 4 days worth of tickets over the course of 13-14 continuous days...
you will be in for some serious money!

Are you planning on staying at a Disneyworld resort, or off-site? That makes a bit of a difference.

If you are staying offsite, a 4 day ticket will allow you 4 entries into the parks, and it will be valid for 7 days from the Start Date that you choose when you buy the ticket. This means you will have to complete all of your park days within that 7 day period, and I know you mentioned being there for 2 weeks.

If you are staying onsite, your ticket *should* be valid for the length of your stay as long as you are in a Disneyworld resort for your entire stay. In this case you could buy a 4 day ticket and just use your 4 entries over the course of your full stay.

If your plan is to spread your park days out over the entire 14 days with multiple days of breaks in between, and you are staying offsite, you may need to look at either buying individual day tickets, or 2 sets of 2-day tickets (they have a 4-day valid period). You would just need to carefully plan your start dates to ensure your tickets were valid on the days you planned to visit the parks. (for example - if you were staying on site from 1/10-1/24, you could do one set of 2 day tickets with a start date of 1/12 that would be valid from 1/12-1-16 and visit the parks on 1/12 and 1/16. then a second set of 2 day tickets with a start date of 1/19 that would be valid from 1/19-1/22 and visit on 1/19 and 1/22)

A 4-day base ticket in mid-January will run you somewhere in the $430 to $456 range depending on start date. That ticket is good for any 4 days within a 7-day window.

A 10-day base ticket at that same time will run you $501 to $547, and is good any 10 days within a 14-day window. You would not have to use all 10 days, but I'm sharing this as comparison with the next option.

A 4-day base "flexible date" ticket will be $602.79 but would allow use of that 4-day ticket within a full 14-day window. This would cost more than a base 10-day ticket, and has the same use window.

As @Robo mentions above, adding the park hopper plus option extends the "use window" an extra day, so a 4-day ticket has 8 days to use it instead of just 7, and gives you access to the waterparks, mini golf and maybe a couple other extras. That option costs an extra $100. If you plan to visit the waterparks, it may be a good deal, but just to extend your ticket by a day - kind of pricey unless you wanted the park hopper anyway (+$80, so the "plus" is only $20 more).

As @siren0119 mentions...if you are staying on-site at a WDW resort for the full 2-weeks, and purchase a package, your ticket length will extend to the length of your package reservation. I don't believe that works with room-only or split-stays.

I, personally, would plan my park days closer together within a 7-day window and buy the regular 4-day ticket. But there are options if you really must spread the days out.

Enjoy your vacation!
