Ticket and FP question....

Suppose you purchase a park ticket. It must be activated (first used) by a certain date. Otherwise you will have to exchange it for a "current" ticket (and pay the additional cost) before you can use it for park entry. I believe you have to do this physically at guest services and cannot do it over the phone.

If you have not activated your ticket by the specified date, can you still use it to make FP+ reservations? You would still have to exchange it before entering the park and actually use the FP, which is fine. I just want to know if you can make the FP+ reservations 30 or 60 days in advance (depending on if you are staying on property or not).

Since the first expiration dates were Dec. 31, 2018, I don't think anyone has yet run into this to give first-hand experience of how it is handled. FP+ requires "valid" ticket media, so I don't know that an expired unused ticket would be considered "valid" until exchanged for a current ticket. With the new pricing structure just announced, I have no guess as to how it might be handled. Good luck!

Enjoy your vacation!

Your ticket is active until the day it expires.

If linked to your MDX account, you can book FPs up until the day it expires.

If your ticket expires Dec 31st, the MDX system won’t allow you to book a FP for January 1st.
