Hello,

Can you help me with themepark tickets please?

We would like to be able to go to the Disney themeparks as many times as we woudl like throughout our 14 day stay and we would like to include waterparks too.

We would also like to visit Universal, IoA and Sea World but probably not more than once each.

Which tickets would you advise and where should I buy them from?

Many thanks!
Kirsteen

For complete flexibility with the Disney tickets, I would go for the 14-day Ultimate. Unless you are absolutely convinced you will not spend more than 7 days in the Disney parks and 6 days in the water parks and then it may be better to go for the 7 day premium ticket. To be honest, if you're going for a fortnight and you want to do Universal, Islands of Adventure and Sea World as well, on the assumption that you may want to visit the water parks too, I would say you probably would be better off with the premium ticket.

This is just my opinion but I think 9 out of 10 times people go for the 14-day Ultimate so they can have the flexibility but probably only get 7 or 8 (maximum!) days use out of it. I know we certainly did that last year for the kids.

As far as Universal and Sea World tickets go, it will probably be cheaper to buy the tickets separately rather than get hte 4-park Flex ticket. I think Universal have an offer on for a 2-park 5 day ticket for $85ish. Entrance to Sea World is about $65 so $150 for all 3 parks, as opposed to £100 + for the flex ticket.

I agree with Joh to get the 14 day ultimate, www.attractionticketsdirect are very good priced. Even if you don't use it for the full 14 days (and thers nothing to stop you just 'popping' into a park for a late evening fireworks show then leaving again) its still the best value for money.

We have the 14 day ultimate ticket and we bought a Universal 2 day pass which gave us free child tickets and an extra day too meaning 3 full days which we can use within a 14 day period so we may go on day 3 day8 and day 11 of our holiday. We're hoping to buy seaworld tickets too if my mum is kind enough to buy them or else we'll get them on the day.

Thanks guys. I think we are definately going for the Disney 14 day Ulimate ticket and the 4 park flexi ticket as we would like to try and spend even just an hour or two in a different park at night.

Has anyone used www.orlando-ticket-deals.co.uk?

Thanks,
Kxx

Those tickets are what we buy, then we just hop between all the different parks. I think they both offer the best value for money. We used attractionticketsdirect to buy ours from.

A couple of other ideas just to make things more complex!

The kind of ticket you get can depend on whether you will ever return again in the future.
For example we have the Disney 'Magic Your Way' 10 day pass that has hopper/non expiry facility, with 4 days Water Parks included.
Chose that one because we do not visit WDW excessively and so far we have had 2 holidays and still have 4 theme park days plus 2 WP left.
Just find it works best for us, not everyone's idea of the best way to do things. You don't have to get the 10 one, they do 7 days etc too....

Personally I wouldn't go for the Flex ticket, whilst I have used them before and it gives you good access to 4 parks would you really get value for money from them? You have 14 days Disney tickets plus 14 days Universal/Sea World too, that's a lot to cram into 2 weeks.

Universal/Sea World often have offers on, SW recently had one where you could get 7 days access for the price of a 1 day ticket ( we had these last August and were incredible value for money), often US have a 'buy a 2 day ticket get an extra day free' type of thing on.

We have (had!) Universal Annual passes (they actually expire very soon) at $179 cost less than the Flex ticket, and whilst you don't get Sea World access you get a host of benefits including free car parking (quite a saving as it's $10 or so a day now), plus merchandise/restaurant discounts etc
They can also work out excellent value for money as the renewal price is just $99, naturally to make full use you have to find a good reason to go next year too!

Sorry if this sounds more hard work  , and I know I am getting carried away here but like I say do what's best for you - however, it's always good to have a different way of doing things.

We used www.mapleleaftickets.com for our MYW one's

We think they are good value because they are the same price as a two day entry to Universal plus an one day entry to Sea World but you obviously get 14 days for the price of those 3 days. We do spend all our time in parks so do feel we get the best value from the tickets.

Thanks guys - MYW is def something else to think about :thumbsup2 I'm sure I priced US/IoA and Sea World separately and it came to £3 less than the 4 park flexi ticket which is what made me go for the flexi ticket.

You are right Johnny we will not use all those days but I think for the peace of mind that if we decide we love US at Christmas (we're going in December) that we can go as many times as we like during our trip.

I'd forgotten about Maple Leaf - thanks for the heads up on that one.

Anyone else used Orlando Ticket Deals? I'm sure we used them in 2005 but I can't be sure.

Cheers,
Kxx

OTD and ATD are the same company !

I booked our tickets on the phone number at the top of Attraction Tickets Direct web site, but all the paper work was on Orlando Ticket Deals headed paper.
Same service from both, BUT OTD don't do the same freebies as ATD. Had quite a few calls with them, but it did get sorted in the end.:thumbsup2

My DSis has used Maple Leaf, but face to face in there store on the 192, they were great.

We have always used the Ultimate tickets as then I don't feel we've 'wasted' a day is we only pop into a park to see the fireworks. But a Johnny says you can end up wasting money by only using few days out of your 14. If only you could add a never expire to these...

By the way Universal parking is now $11, making that annual pass even better value. Disney and Sea World are still $10.

Sorry to barge in on your thread Kirsteen, but since we are on the subject of tickets, does anyone know if I can upgrade the remaining days on my MYW tickets to a 'no-expiry' option at the end of the holiday? We are buying a 10 day MYW ticket, but we might only use 6-7 days - it would be nice if we could then purchase the no-expiry option for the remaining days so we can use them next year :)

AFAIK you can add the non-expire option any time before the last day of value. I've seen several post saying that you need to do it the day before last to make it easier.

I understand - just like I said above we all have our own preferences and just have to find the right way to suit yourselves.
We spend a few morning's at the parks but like to relax and do many other things too, as I am sure you do.
It's often difficult getting Joshua out of the villa in the evening hence our 'non expiry' tickets do last us a lot longer than they would for many other people.

No problem, as long as you are happy with your ticket choices that's the main thing, we all have our own ways of doing things.
Just thought it worthwhile mentioning there are other alternatives.

Hi, another ticket company to consider would be onlineflorida.co.uk
when we booked our tickets for 3 adults and 3 children (we bought the 21 day Disney ultimate and the Orlando 4 park flex tickets) and at the time they were the cheapest of all the ticket agencies. Note- their ticket prices do change slightly on a regular basis (due to the $ exchange rate I think) Anyways ,good luck on your quest and have a great holiday.....Whatever you pay for your tickets!

Hi Kirsteen,
Yes, you can add non-expiry on to your Disney tickets, just visit DTD customer service or add it on as already said using MYW when you buy.
I used www.undercovertourist.com last year and they were very competitive and the tickets actually came from an office in Edinburgh;) Hope this helps:) It's definatly worth checking out all the options before booking:)

The best price I've found for UK tickets is Florida Magic Tickets http://www.florida-magic-tickets.co.uk/# . Someone else on this forum has used them and said they were fine (sorry, I can't remember who it was), and I've checked with Disney and they do honour these tickets (they're e-tickets, so I was a little wary at first). I'm afraid I haven't used them yet, so can't give you a personal review. Hope this helps!

Have a great trip :thumbsup2 !
