We're coming west for our first trip to DL at the end of September (will be spending a week in a DVC studio in the grand Californian).

I see that there's currently a "2 days free" promo for tickets which would save about 50 dollars per adult for a 5 or 6 day pass. Should I jump on this, or would more experienced hands advise me to wait?

We are DVC members, AAA members, and have a Disney Visa, in case that would impact your advice.

If you know when you'll be going, I'd jump on it. Keep in mind the current 5 for 3 parkhopper deal has a first use date of no later than September 30, and then it has to be used up by October 13. If that works with your dates, get it. I doubt they'll have a better deal than that. In fact, we've investigated going the last couple of years during late October or early November, and they had no parkhopper deals like that after the end of September.

Thanks. We actually arrive on 9/28 or 9/29, so it's just about perfect, albeit cutting it close.

You don't have to purchase the tickets NOW. But they do need to be purchased by Sept. 1.... So that gives you plenty of time to nail down your dates.

Thanks, that's a good point. Our dates are nailed down already though: have the DVC reservation and even the airfare booked (southwest had some crazy good prices when they first opened bookings out into October).
