Tick Tock - on hold

On hold now myself for 17 minutes...grrr.

I'm excited because for the bulk of our stay, we're staying at BWI, and we already have 30% off, but we'll take 5 more if Disney will give it to us!

We are doing a couple of nights at BC and I was hoping to use the AP discount to bump up to CL, but alas....

Speaking of AP...is there a separate number to call? I'm guessing I'm waiting while they get slammed with FD calls.

Waiting again...was on hold for an hour then my call got dropped...20 minutes in to my second call.
Debating whether to book a new package online & then cancel it if I am able to get through. Just don't know if I would be able to transfer my existing dining reservations if I did that.

Waited 91 minutes, changed reservation to Coronado, got free dining total time 99 minutes. All of that and now I have to go and try to make dining reservations. Yeah.

if u say 'new reservation' you get right through

I am now on my third time trying to call in. Both times before I was on hold for about an hour & then the call got dropped. (lousy cell service in my office). Wish Disney had a toll free number so I could use my work phone...:rotfl2:

I did go ahead & book a package online, so I am covered, but I would still like to get my first package changed, so that I don't have to deal with cancelling it & having them refund all the $$ I have paid so far & transferring it to the new package.

At least I'm not freaking out about not being able to take advantage of the FD offer. We are going for almost 2 weeks, so to get free dining is basically what is making such a long trip possible. If I had to pay for the plan or pay OOP for all our meals while at the parks, we'd be taking a much shorter trip!

My total time was 1 hour, 25 minutes. CM total was less than 5 minutes.

Well worth the time... added a extra day to the beginning of our trip and ended up being cheaper than before. Happy Dance... ear is sore but still happy.

I do this crazy thing when I book a WDW trip. I wait for the deal I want to come out before I book and then I go online and I book it!! Takes 3 minutes! :lmao:

53 minutes during my commute. Good timing, I had just pulled onto the street my work is on when I got a human. Otherwise I was going to put my receptionist on my phone. :)

Hahaha! Yeah I would too, if I was better about saving my money. As it stands, booking in advance and then making payments is the only way I'd manage to pay for the trip! If I tried to save the money in my account, I'd totally spend it.

So for me, this is the only way to go! :cool1:

I'd do it that way too except the 180 + 10 day to make my ADRs for our upcoming December trip was in June. So I needed a resort reservation to get the 180+10.

I could conceivably have canceled that reservation after making the ADRs and then rebooked a new reservation online when the deal came out, but then I'd have to check to make sure my first deposit was refunded then make a new deposit. So either way, some degree of hassle is involved.
