I have finally booked Lisa for hair and make-up, but now I am questioning what to put in my hair. :confused3 Would you mind posting the tiara that you had/want for your ceremony?

I can't decide if I want to go with a tiara or just with a classic hair pin. Here is an example of how my hair will be done, but it will be a tighter knot of curls at the base of my neck, not loose like in the picture...

Thanks! :wizard:

That is the EXACT picture that I am using as a reference for my hair on my wedding day! I've been wondering what type of tiara to get as well. Thanks for posting!

Here is mine. I bought it on ebay and the seller made me 5 smaller matching ones for my bridesmaids. It was lovely.

I think for the hairstyle you are looking for, hair pins would be better. Just my opinion though...im just not a big tiara girl!! Im currently in this debate and I am also getting my hair done by Lisa. I have a trial run in less then a month, so I need to figure something out as well! Look on davids bridals website, they have some nice tiaras as well as headbands and pins! Good luck, let us know what you decide!

I think that sparkly hairpins would probably look really nice.

My daughter and I had the exact same tiara for our v/r. I bought them on ebay for $12.99 each.

Personally I would go with hair comb/pin. I think that the top of your hair will be too loose and it would look better without the tiara.

Like that hair style a lot...pins would look lovely...wish I could have pulled off loose curls...but humidity and me don’t get along..... this was is my tiara...

Thanks ladies!! I have been looking at the Cinderella tiara that Janine suggested, but I am afraid that it will compete with the gold necklace that I am wearing and the gold in the dress.

I think I am leaning toward a hairpin as well, I just can seem to find one that is substantial enough. All the ones I have found a tiny, and they may get lost in the curls, since they will not be placed.

:confused3

That's so funny that exact pictures is one of the pics I have as inspiration for my hair trial with lisa if I go with a loose style anyway I am using more of a headband than a tiara. this is it:

I think I will have my hair pulled just a tad tighter in the front than the pic you posted so it is a bit more traditional in the front with side swept hair and maybe loose in the back like above. :goodvibes

Mine was kinda loose curls. Here is what I had...

With that hair style I would think hair pin would look better than a tiara. And I love tiaras.

My wedding will be in November, and I didn't want a traditional tiara, or a veil. So, while looking through Martha Stewart weddings I found this artist from New York who makes beautiful head peices. Now, the one that I have is not on her website, but it can still be requested. It's a 1920's style headband made of tulle, and flowers, with a ribbon that ties at the back of your neck. Well, she makes very beautiful things, and she'll contact you very quickly if you email her. :)

I can't get the link to work.... :confused3 I would love to see it....

Arribis Brothers in DTD had some very pretty tiara's and they were very resonably priced.

I had a huge tiara issue as well. I ended up going to Claire's (yes, the cheapo jewelry chain) one week before my wedding and got the one I wore for $11!! You can sort of see mine in this picture.
