Tiana's Place Beignets REALLY are amazing!

I guess you could call me a beignet snob. I've been to New Orleans many times, each time stopping at Cafe Du Monde to eat one of the best food items ever invented. We only ever get them from Cafe Du Monde, even waiting in an hour long line. So when I read from many different reviews that the beignets at TP on the Wonder were the best, well I was little skeptical. I have been to Port Orleans: French Quarter and tried the beignets at the quick service restaurant. They weren't as good as the "real" ones. So I was afraid that the ones on the Wonder were going to taste the same as the ones at WDW.

Um, yeah, no. Biting into the beignet at TP was honestly one of the best things I have ever tasted. They were so warm and soft and fluffy and perfect. I will never forget the perfection that I had tasted. I was completely amazed. Before I tasted them I just tried to keep it in my mind that these might not taste as great as the ones in New Orleans, so that is what I was expecting. It was perfect and really everyone needs to try them if they ever go on the Wonder. They could use some more powdered sugar, but other than that---100%

My mom is from New Orleans and we lived there for awhile. I know and love beignets too. My husband and I were on the Wonder to Mexico this past May, so I got to try the beignets at Tiana’s Place. Everyone at our table raved about them. The next night, we even saw a waiter bring some out to another table upon request.

I was impressed with Tiana’s Place overall, but the beignets were the highlight for sure.

We board the Wonder in February. Do they ... do they have chicory coffee in Tiana's? That's too much to hope for, isn't it?

I'm from New Orleans. I also though the beignets were good, I was pleasantly surprised! I did think it was weird to have chocolate sauce served with them, you'd never see that in NOLA. No chicory in TP.

Have to agree with the above comments, the beignets at TP are awesome. Our 8-year-old granddaughter, however, thought that pinching Louis' (Tiana's alligator) tail when he passed our table was the highlight of the evening. Strange, he didn't feel a thing.
We have been to New Orleans a number of times and, again, agree with the folks above that the beignets (actually all food) there are/is yummy. The DCL Alaska cruise we did in June was very special and it seemed strange but fun to celebrate that very southern city in our northern most (and coldest) state, surrounded by snow-covered mountains instead of bayous and Spanish moss. Gotta do it again!!

How exciting. I have 43 days until my first cruise on the Wonder. I’ve only had beignets at Cafe du monde and they were amazing so it’s incredible to hear such a rave review.

In total agreement! The beignets were my mom's favorite part of our cruise! We all agree about the sauce - unnecessary and also not very good, even to my chocoholic daughter.

YUM! Is there breakfast in Tiana's? Are the beignets served at dinner? Will be on the Wonder in January!

My daughter has been asking about the beignets. She loves beignets. We make our own and have had the ones at Cafe du Monde. We also were not too impressed with the ones at POFQ. We will be on the Wonder in 10 days and she was really excited to hear from this report that they are really good. Can't wait!
