Tiana at Meals?

Is Princess Tiana making any appearances at CRT or Akershus?

She is not a scheduled character at this time, but she could appear as a replacement at any time.

At this point no.You can see her in the gazebo over in liberty square for meet and greets

Been to both this week and no she is not there. The only place to see her is in a gazebo in Liberty Square in MK. It is a great meet n greet with the Prince

She is a princess, but for them to add her, they'll have to take one of the regulars in the line up out. So far, the 'older' princesses are still more popular (Tiana being hot because she is new) so before they replace a classic, they want to see if Tiana will remain popular. If you notice, both restaurants USUALLY will have 5 princesses.
Also, Tianas dress is much too large to go through rotation and they don't have any other gown for her right now.
It's always more to it than just 'a new character, lets put them here now'. Lots of hands in the decision making.

But not all princesses are as popular as the rest. We had to track down meet and greets for Pocahontas, Jasmine, Mulan and Tiana when we were there last week. Disney considers them all princesses but none of them have set character meals where they can be found...at least not at this point.

Great point about the dress. She would be a good greater at Akershus for the photos if she proves to have the staying power.

Personally, I think they should lose Ariel and Aurora in favor of Tiana and Mulan...then we'd have a better variety of ethnicity. My daughter is from China and we did find her at the Chinese pavillion, but it would be nice to have her at a meal...she's also a huge fan of Tiana and has 3 t-shirts with her on them!

Unfortunately it's all about popularity. Ariel is MUCH more requested than Mulan. Probably Tiana too. But I do get what you're saying.

I get what both of you are saying and I honestly think they could easily do different princesses at different meals at some place like Akershus (like they do at the 1900 PF meals) and draw in more people.

Akershus was by far one of our worst breakfasts but we would have gone back for lunch it we could have seen Mulan, Jasmine and Tiana all at one place. And we would have gone back for dinner had it been a Fairy themed meal.

I really wonder (actually hope) that Disney uses the MK princess expansion to diversify their princess meals.

The Port Orleans idea is cute. I doubt Disney will make her any other dresses unless she becomes more popular. The dresses are very expensive to create. Who knows what Disney will do with her. It's really hard to say. It all depends. The Port Orleans idea is cute. I doubt Disney will make her any other dresses unless she becomes more popular. The dresses are very expensive to create. Who knows what Disney will do with her. It's really hard to say. It all depends. The Hollywood and Vine character meal is just plain silly, as they still have JoJo and Goliath there, yet that show isn't in production any longer, and hasn't been for several years. Handy Manny is super popular, yet he's not at that meal? They also have missed the boat on a Toy Story or Pirates themed meal, so they seem real slow in making changes to character meals.

I completely agree and would really like to know WHO they poll when doing "research" into these decisions!
