THV views and villa numbers

I just called this morning to add a room request to my VGC reservation and they allowed me to specify 10 room numbers in order of preference.

I just checked with DVC MS again this morning and they are still accepting requests that aren't from the list. From what I was told today, the request list is something that they are working on and that they will implement in the future.

We asked for a THV near the walking path to SSR and got #734. Right by the path, easy walk to Grandstand bus stop or the Carriage house, lovely view of the woods and the golf course. You're going to love the decor and theming and the porch and grill. Kids loved the bunkbeds. The sofabed and chair were plenty comfy. Extra bonus on the grill is that someone comes and cleans it out during the day. No need to fool with charcoal disposal!

I'm not sure I would have loved the THVs if we had been at the other end. I really liked being able to walk to SSR to catch the bus or get to the carriage house. (note: if you want to skip sitting on the bus while it goes through the entire resort, walk a little further to get to the carriage house and catch the bus there - last stop before the parks). DH's knee was bothering him so we took the internal bus a few times as well to save him the extra walk. It worked fine and didn't really take any longer... I just prefer the walk.

The villas are 4 numbers, should I add a 0 in there somewhere? I've got a running list going because I'm geeking hard over these THV. that's great about knowing we don't need to clean the grill. We're planning on using it at least 3x during our stay. :thumbsup2 I'm having fabulous images of. Nice cold beer with a big fat piece of meat on the grill. :cloud9: The kids have been looking at YouTube videos of the THV are are so excited. Trying to figure out who gets the cool bunk bed room. I'm glad we'll be ale to leave the living room as a living room and not sleeping space.

We're staying in a THV in about 2 weeks. I don't really care about the view or the walking path as I suspect all views are fine and we will have our own car for transportation. My only real request is to make sure we can park right next to the villa. Are there any villas that are better than others for this feature? My mom is in a wheel chair for the parks and will be able to do the stairs to get into the THV, but I don't want her to have to walk too far from the car to the stairs.

We won't have a car so I have no idea. I thought I read that there's a general area to park but not sure sure. I'm sure someone can chime in. Enjoy your stay and please report back.

We requested "south end" and "canal view" and were placed in 7030 -- perfect. we were right next to the path to SSR to the bus stop, and short walks to both pool, and boat dock.

While the parking space was near the villa, the walkway was a bit long. For wheelchair, I'd use the chair to the bottom of the stairs.

What was your view like? Thanks for the villa number, I'll add it to my list. :thumbsup2

Guess I better get on it then. :hyper: Thanks for double checking.

We were in 4, close to the main entrance. It was supposed to be a water view but the foliage was so high and dense that we had a foliage view.

7004? I'm guessing they all start with 70? Thank you. :thumbsup2

I believe by the description DeeIsle was in villa 7034 we were in 7032 and also had a wooded view, water was not far and could hear the golfers - very peaceful. I remember thinking all parking spots for villas are not as close as I expected, you have a pathway to walk to the villa but yet it is not far by any means! Let us know how your stay is and if you do not have a car for sure I would recommend to be near the pathway to SSR much easier to catch the bus!

Thank you, thank you. :thumbsup2 Once I get a more complete list, I'll share on the SSR thread and here.

Keep them coming. :goodvibes

I spoke to MS today and asked about the THV. I said I don't care where the unit is located or what the view is, I just need to make sure that we have close parking. The CM told me that most units have parking very near to them for one car, but she put my request in for me.

We'd prefer to be close enough to the unit so that we can leave the wheelchair in the minivan. Mom will be able to walk and do the stair as long as the distance isn't too long.

That is exactly what I want. Going to call now and make my requests!:wizard:

We stayed in 7033 and LOVED it!! It is right along the walking path to SSR. The view was wooded/water....wooded from the deck and from the large window above the couch, we had a partial water view through some trees.
We never took the internal bus to the parks. We would always walk along the path to the Grandstand stop. It was a beautiful and short walk.

Sorry! It was 7034 - I just dropped out the 0. Good luck. I think you'll love it if you aren't having to pull out the sofabed, etc. The living space was roomier than I expected, but it's always a pain to pull out and then make up the sofa bed. We got some great sirloin steaks on sale at Winn Dixie and had a fabulous meal from the grill. Oh, and if you have a golfer in the family, take your key with you while you play the LBV course. DH stopped by the villa with his foursome while golfing and they each had a cold beer on the deck before continuing to the next hole... it's right off of the course.

We stayed in 7025 and loved the water view, close to south bus stop, and the pool and the path to SSR. When I made the reservation I asked for waterview near the south bus stop. Loved the grill, loved the porch, loved the THV!!!! Have fun.

That sounds perfect! I'm adding your villa to the list! :thumbsup2 I can't wait Nd I'm sure I'll love all of the same things.

Thanks for coming back to clarify! :goodvibes I agree that it's a pain to use the living space but a sleeping area. I'm glad we'll be able to leave it as such this trip. It really does feel so nice to have all that fabulous room. :cloud9: DH is going to golf and that sounds really cool. :thumbsup2

Thank you!!!! :cool1: Love all these great descriptions. Your view sounds lovely. I'm thinking we'll walk as well to get to the main part of SSR to grab the busses to the parks.

Sending pixiedust!
