Thursday's Thriddle

Good morning, everyone!

Good luck with the crown. Not a big fan of root canals since I got one my FIRST weekend away at college. Not a fun way to start off school.

I think I got this one, now I'm off to make salmon-cream cheese roll ups, a delicious low carb breakfast.

PM sent.

Uggg! Spelling is worse than Math! I'll have to think on this one.

Sudden inspiration on the way!

Cold here too, although my northern riddle friends would probably think 46 and rainy is balmy! But for New Orleans, it is frigid.

OK..... I don't want to become dumb as a BOX of rocks this AM, but is this a real whole number? Or do parts of numbers count..? :p

Good morning..!!! or to all of you on the east coast..whats for lunch?

You sound hungry! Maybe not quite as hungry as Jesus was after he fasted in the wilderness, but still hungry.

It was hot dogs, and because I can get them here, hot dogs on bread buns. These buns look like bread loaves, with sides you can butter and grill in a frying pan. We used to get them at HoJos all the time when we would drive from VA to NH, now I can get them in the grocery store. Doesn't take much to thrill me, eh?

seems to me I've heard that somewhere before.........

Just finished reading the 'laundry' thread and the Angels thread...you all just tickle the stuff right out of me...:rotfl: :rotfl:

Hard to believe it, isn't it!!!! Being the peson who seems to have lived everywhere, I guess I have experienced lots of differrent food things. I do love these HD buns, and Lobster Rolls, too. But grits seem to be missing from most places up heah in the colder climes. I do love grits, guess I will have to see if cracker barrel has them, or have Alan send me a box (not instant, either!)

Remember the movie "My Cousin Vinny"? I loved the way they described grits in the trial.

And I could do with some good sausage gray on thos grits, too.

My Cousin Vinny  Oh yes, that documentary on my area. Not since Dukes of Hazzard has anyone nailed us so accurately.

Okay, so some of it can be legitimate

I must confess that Mrs. AA makes wonderful homemade biscuits, but she does not do gravy. Oh we both enjoy it, but she just hasn't made any in years.

She tried for the first time since I've known her last week and it just wasn't thick enough. It was bacon grease anyway, so none of those yummy bits of sausage.

Hopefully she'll experiment again because she always gets it perfect before long in anything she's cooking; I'm a lucky man!

AA-

I have the best (and simplest) recipe for the gravy part of biscuits and gravy!

I use Jimmy Dean hot sausage, brown it until crumbly. Add flour until you have added "enough." I usually define enough as all sausage is thoroughly coated, and no grease is left in the pan. Then add milk until you get the consistency you want. If too thick, add more milk; if too thin, let simmer fo a bit and it will thicken. Serve over biscuits. Yum!!!

Okay, now I'M hungry! I haven't seen any Mickey's posted lately..including my own!

Is everyone done Riddling?

Hmmm...it's raining and that wasn't supposed to start until tonight. I guess we are safe though, because when I picked my dog up at the vet I did not see an ark nearby so maybe it will not rain for that long.

Good morning to all.

Steph, hope you are warm. Minus 6 when I took the dogs out at 3:45 am!
