I'm sure I saw SOMEWHERE... a list of attractions that close during a thunderstorm and a list of attractions to enjoy to wait it out.

I can't find it, and I did a search. LOL. Maybe it's on another site?

Anyone know what I'm talking about?

No, I don't know about that list.

but I do know water rides (like Kali) , animal attractions, all pools/water slides, and metal coasters (like EE) stop running.

Much of AK closes.

bring a poncho an umbrella is like a lighting rode ( FL has the most lighting strikes in all of the US and it is up there for the world believe)

as fair as rides if it is out doors so at the MK

Jungle cruse
adladions carpet
Splash
big thunder
7DMT
brain stormers
I think tea cups and the caramel

anything else would be good

EPCOT
TT will close

HS
I do not think any thing close here

AK
Kali river rapids
everest

as fair as good rides
MK

I like space since the line is in doors and it is normally cool and the line is normally about an hour witch is about how long the rain normally lest for
shows are nice

EPCOT

the dinasor ride ( again about an hour rains for about an hour

soaring is also good one

hmm I guess anything that will keep you dry for about an hour either by the line or the line is a good one or a show.

We don't get thunderstorms like the ones in Florida where we live, so our strategy was plain and simple: get inside as soon as possible, wether it's a ride, a shop or a restaurant and wait there until it's over.

I believe the general rule of thumb if lightning is involved, is any outside ride that is metal or has water will close.

There are lots of rainstorms in the early afternoon in the summertime in Florida, most do not have thunder and lightning. Just a big build up of moisture and heat causing a downpour and it's over in 15-30 minutes. If it's anymore than that, it's generally a storm system that sets in for the day (expect thunder and lightning)

For the afternoon shower, we have been on Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain, Kali River Rapids, Jungle Cruise and a few others and they didn't close...we just got wet.
