So I have all my Adr's booked perfect times for 10 people!!! YAY!!!

Along comes the other DSIL..... Family of 5!!! Surprise!! We are coming too :-)
So this is what I did with the Adr's (they are only coming for 3 days out of the trip)

Chef Mickeys from 10 - 15 people moved from 7:50 PM - 8:20 PM (no Problem)

Cinderellas Royal Table (girls only) from 6 - 9 people is now 2 reservations one for 6 people at 8:25AM and one for 3 at 8:15 AM Hoping to walk in together.

Sci Fi Dine In from 10 - 15 people is now 2 reservations one for 10 people at 11:35AM and one for 5 at 11:25AM Hoping to walk in together.

My Question is has anyone ever done this with 2 reservations and gone in at the same time?

yes, but not for that large of a party. I say you may be ok if you arrive at least 30 minutes before and ask them if you could all sit together. I have had no problem adding 2-3 people to a 4 person ressie in the past.

Now they arent sure they are going!! Im glad we have two seperate reservations for two of the places. I guess we will live with the 30 minute dinner time change on the other one. I am the only one who knows they may be coming. Im not sure how every one else will take it lol. Last time they sort of ran all over our vacation. (their Family takes priority over the group) But its only 3 days :-) Maybe their Disney vacationing style has changed in 6 years? LOL

Since they sound wishy washy, I would definitely leave it as it is with the 2 seperate ADR times.

If you arrive together, it shouldn't be a problem for them to sit you together although you may have to wait a bit longer while they make it happen.

You are an amazing person for doing all of the work! I plan reservations for our family of five and get frustrated, thumbs up to you:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

yes, we did it last year a few times... had three families, each of five... a few times we were able to be seated together, a few times not... we were given tables next to one another at WCC (and it was great, we needed to re-group as a family and it was the best of both worlds)... we were offered a table together at GG but opted not to wait the 45mins-1hr that it would take and ate separately in diff't parts of the restaurant (again, after being "together" all.day.long. it was nice to be by ourselves)... we were able to eat together at 'ohana dinner, donalds b'fast and a few others...

Make sure YOU make YOUR FAMILY your priority and don't let anyone run away with your vacation or else the memories you have will not be magical. I think it is best to have some seperate time when you travel as a group.

Thank you I actually enjoy the planning, We had everything all set just needed to fit them in some how I think I managed ;)

I figure they are only there for 3 days :) We have 6 days after they all leave to relax and do our own thing so we can sacrifice for the group in the beginning. :)

Just remember and cancel the CRT reservation if they are not going

Wouldn't want you to get a charge on your CC :goodvibes

Thank you very scary thinking of paying for empty seats. As soon as she lets me know I will cancel or relax but I wish I knew LOL

So true!! You spend a lot of time and money for this vacation. Don't let someone else run your vacation. I think you may want to keep the ressies as is anyway. This will you give you a little break from them and let you spend some time with your immediate family.

But you'll lose at least a day after they go to decompress and talk about all that they did while they were there....at *least* one day.

I would have kept it all as originally planned, and let them make their own reservations! Especially after hearing that they run roughshod over everyone else.

Well after all is said and done they decided Not to go!! I cancelled the reservations so others could have a chance at them :)
