OK guys I am in charge of hosting the bachelorette party. It is a smalllllll party. Only 4 of us, and one is a surprise fly-in guest the bride doesn't know is coming from out of state. The bride is having a small wedding/reception, and after talking to her we agreed that it wouldn't be right to invite people who were not invited to the wedding (example: her co-workers).

We live in the Central FL area. After extensive online searching for ideas I wanted to know what some of you thought. We are not the type to go to a strip club/hire a male stripper, nor are we bar hoppers. We have a limited budget so we can't travel to Vegas for the weekend or something. Not doing a Spa thing, as we are doing that the day before the wedding. No lingerie party (3 out of the 4 of us are actually going to a Secrets party this evening). Looked into the idea of some type of cooking/artistic class, but don't think that is really us. Already ruled out hot air balloon ride, psychic reading, and bridal scavenger hunt (too few of us) (all ideas I saw online). Thinking about either CityWalk or P.I. but was hoping for an idea a little more unique. We will probably get a hotel room to stay over. The bridal shower (held by the mother of the bride) is scheduled for the next day.

The bride is my best friend. I have known her since we were 5 years old. For financial reasons she is unable to have the wedding of her dreams (she says she will live through all the "big" wedding stuff when I have mine :( ) so I want this to be nice for her.

Any unique, tasteful ideas welcome. Plus any ideas for party games would be appreciated.

We played a game at one that was "guess what I am" and we had things like "wedding dress" "old, new, borrowed, blue" and you had no idea what you were, you asked questions of the others to try and figure out what you were. The first one who guessed won a neat prize.

I worked as a bartender when I was engaged and most definately did NOT want the stripper/bar hopping bachelorette party for myself, I saw way too many of those type of parties at work. I opted for afternoon tea with my bridesmaids, sister, and a couple of other very close friends. It was lovely. My one girlfriend made us all tiaras using our wedding colors. LOL. We were definately princesses for the day. Not sure if that is too subdued for you guys or not. Another idea that I considered at the time was us all going to the ballet or theatre.

Have fun at the party, whatever you do!

I'm so slow sometimes... I didn't read the Central Florida part... duh!

What about a spa day at GF or SSR? You could pick a couple services, pamper yourselves, hang out at the pool and then hit DTD that evening? Or put on the tiaras suggested and hit MK for a day and finish with a nice dinner in the castle? I would have enjoyed that WAY more than the party they threw for me...

What about a Paint your own Pottery place. My friends did this for me on my 30th b-day. Most places have ladies night where you can bring wine and snacks and even your own music. you can make gifts for the brides new house or just enjoy painting. You really don't need to be creative all pottery pieces usually trun out unique and pretty.

For my sister in law, we just had a girls party at my other sister in laws house, but the theme was holiday decorations. Everyone brought her a gift that was a decoration to be used for a specific holiday they were assigned. She loved the idea and also being able to decorate around her house for Halloween, Easter, etc. As a newly married couple- there usually isn't a whole lot of extra money to go around for frivolous decorations, and she really appreciated already having them. You could decorate for the party using Christmas lights, Jack o'lanterns, chocolate easter candy, serve green beer...kind of a here's to your first year of marriage... hope you have happiness from holiday to holiday!

Do they have any day cruises out of Port Canaveral?

ooooh...someone mentioned afternoon tea...how about the one at the grand floridian? you guys could stay onsite...lounge by the pool, take in the afternoon tea, and then later that night, go to PI...

Thanks for the help guys. Hoping that some big lightbulb will go off with an even better idea, but the plans currently are for a weekend in Orlando, with a stay at the Hard Rock Hotel. Citywalk seems to be winning out over P.I. (those non-Disney people....sheesh!! ;) ).

Anyone else have any suggestions for fun bachelorette games the 4 of us can play later at the hotel?? I think the toilet paper wedding dress idea (saw that online) sounds like fun...
