Throwaway room (read post #2041 or #2710 before posting)

It clearly states on the website about rates being based on double occupancy and extra rates apply for each additional person...clearly you don't accept that verbiage as gospel so why should this apply. Just admit it you are as shady as the rest of us:cool2:

I love this! Shady! HAHAHAHAHAHA

Well at least you admit the throwaway is shady...it's a start.:goodvibes

Yes, they post their rates and if you aren't booked in the room, you aren't an additional person in that room.

Funny how what I've been saying is true even in booking a room- No one cares where you sleep! :lmao:

Seriously, you keep wanting to show off your credentials to everyone- that's just weird. I couldn't care less what your legal credentials are, but you sure seem to be proud of them.

Once again you completely missed the point.

I mentioned my credentials because you said something to the effect of "you're from Canada and telling me about our laws :rotfl2:" .

It and just now were the only time I mentioned my credentials . Ever on these boards. So no I don't "keep wanting to show off my credentials to everyone". Just you . So that maybe (glimmer of hope) you might actually acknowledge that someone somewhere knows a tad more than you do about something. Anything

You continue to have the tendency of glossing over what you say. Repeatedly. You indicated that I said things which I did not say ie : no consequences to those who party crash, which I didn't say. You contradict yourself repeatedly. Sad....very very sad.

Right, but give them a key for the room they aren't booked in and let them stay the entire stay in that room they aren't booked instead of the one they are registered in...yup that's not stealing $$$ from the mouse:faint:

It's no more stealing from the mouse than when you do it on a cruise and that's absolutely standard procedure there. I assume it is at Disney as well. When a family is traveling together, you book your rooms in the best configuration possible.

It takes nothing away from any other guests- it doesn't give any other guest any less chance of getting the perks their entitled to because of what you did.

What the heck is off circuit? You're safe telling me since legacy is gone.;)

Some FP attractions were not connected to the FP network at large and you could get FPs for those and one other, connected attraction, back-to-back.

This was alternatively known as "abuse", "working the system", "insider info", and just plain unfair to any and all who didn't know this.

Just an FYI.....when you quote it is considered to be rude and possibly not "ethical " to edit a person's quote as you've done here many times. It changes the context. Perhaps you didn't know .

I've been on these boards for many, many years and never heard such a thing.
But I'm more than happy to post every word in any post of yours I'm responding to.

But if that's the case, you're going to be pretty busy going back thru this thread and telling all the ones who've done it that it's rude and not ethical.

Silliest thing I've ever heard of....:rotfl:

Oh yes, I remember that, just didn't know there was a name attached to it.

Thanks.

Ok, so you're not the typical, average off site guest. It happens.

Actually, you're the one deflecting. I'm talking about why Disney wouldn't care for throwaway rooms- not the good and bad of staying off site or which guest is in some way better.

And I was careful to point out that those tendencies of off site guests don't apply to all. They just apply to enough that it makes Disney want to encourage on site stays. Of course no statement applies to everyone.

What I said was true, I can't help that you feel insulted by it. On site guests, by and large- with some exceptions spend more than off site guests. Search "Disney on a budget"...see if staying offsite isn't the #1 tip you get on damn near every site you find.

You've got a huge ol' chip on your shoulder. You're looking for insults where they don't exist.

Chip on my shoulder about what, exactly?

I felt the need to respond to your statements because they were wrong. Not surprising since you just admitted you based them on a search (on Google? on Disboards?) about "Disney on a budget". Very scientific.

Oh, consider this as well. Just because staying offsite is a good way to save money, that doesn't mean that everyone (or even most) who are staying offsite are doing it to save money. People stay offsite for any number of reasons. Some have a large party and have a hard time finding Disney accommodations to comfortably fit their party. Some just like a little extra room. Some own timeshares elsewhere. Sure, some are trying to save some cash, but there are any number of valid reasons. Why are you the authority on why people stay offsite? And how much money they're spending?

Why does my correction of your false and unfounded statements equal a chip on my shoulder? Oh, wait ... you're deflecting again.

So then why did you change your name ? If you've been on these boards for many many years why is your joined date only last year ?:rolleyes1

Oh let me guess.....

Most people when they reduce a quote do so because they are only addressing a portion of the quote, they don't do what you do, that is reduce the quote in order to change the context. Let me be specific ....it is bad form to reduce a quote in order to change the context of the poster's comment.

Actually, I was off for a while for very personal reasons and when we cruised last year I decided to get involved again- for the life of me I couldn't remember the screen name or password- so I'm guessing your guess is wrong.

Oh yes, I remember that, just didn't know there was a name attached to it.

Thanks.

It was more commonly called "disconnected" around here. That's actually the first time I've noticed someone call it "off circuit" myself.

There were some that were temporarily disconnected - usually due to issues communicating with the central FP servers for that park. With those you didn't necessarily know they were disconnected until you tried to get another FP early somewhere else.

With others, they were more often disconnected, like Mickey and later Barnstormer. These appeared to be intentional, and if so, and it even advertised the fact that you could get another FP in 5 minutes on the FP itself, it hardly seems like it could be called abuse though...anyways, it's all moot.

2 is plural. ;) Just not sure if it counts as "many".

Oddly enough I do remember I was here at least as of 2002- lets see- I was here when the community board allowed the discussion of politics- if that dates it for you. I've been enjoying running in to old names that now have tens of thousands of posts and were relatively newbies when I was active- had to be early 2000's. Just an FYI since your do interested.

I agree, but I owned all of those monikers at some point. ;)

Thanks, but I don't need to be schooled on proper way to reduce quotes.

If you think I'm changing the context of a post, that's your issue.

There the entire quote and while I don't feel your sarcastic comments and questions about my membership on this forum had a thing to do with it what I addressed, it's all there just to make you feel better.
