I disagree- I believe that advance FP+ is meant to be rolled out to ALL park guests, not just resort guests. Disney themselves has NEVER claimed this is a resort perk or part of a package. DDP IS part of a package so totally different. Closing what you perceive as a loophole is counterintuitive to this. That would cut off AP and reg MYW tickets, which inevitably I believe will all get advanced FP+. I don't believe it's a loophole at all, I believe it's the way the system is meant to work eventually and that during the roll out, the stay was the trigger. Eventually (whenever the Disney braintrust decided to fully implement this) the ticket itself will be the trigger.
Maybe so. But right now, the only way to get advanced FP+ is to be onsite. My issue is with the way the system is right now...you have to be booked into a WDW owned resort in order to do advance FP+. It doesn't matter if you have a 10 day hopper or an AP...you have to be spending a night at an onsite resort. Yes, you do have to have park media for the days you want to get FP+ for. But.....if you are staying at Gaylord Palms (for instance), it doesn't matter what park pass you have, or the length of stay for it...you don't get to make advance FP+. Even those staying at the S/D don't get to make advance FP+...yet.
Either make it good for everyone or not. This whole practice of booking a room for one night is crazy. Disney needs to do something about it...either make it truly for those staying onsite, for the days they have park passes and a room booked for, or let everyone book them..for the number of days they have passes for, regardless of where they are staying.
