Throgs Neck Bridge NYC--Directions Needed

We frequently drive between LI and upstate NY, using the Hutchinson River Parkway. We then take either the Whitestone Bridge or Throgs Neck to the LI Expressway--no problems going to LI. However when we go upstate, since there is construction on the Whitestone or when there's heavy traffic, we try to take the Throgs Neck--and always get lost!

Can anyone give us directions from the Throgs Neck back to the Hutch? We know we need to head north, but the two routes off of the bridge are east/west.

Bumping for you. Would love to know this answer. We head to the outlets in Westbury and to visit friends in Islip and would love to know how to take this route back upstate!! In the past we have taken the Whitestone route - thanks for the tip about it being under construction.

East, toward CT. The road is really going N, the exit for the Hutch is before the road starts going E.

Thank you sooo much!! You can't imagine the time we've had getting lost! Last weekend, we kept going west--almost to the city, when we saw an exit for 87 north!

Hi,

You need to follow 95 North. After the tolls stay towards your right. Not counting the exit right after the toll it will be the 4th exit.
