Wouldn't it be awesome if Disney's next park at WDW was just an all thrill ride park? Some Dis fans (such as me) are more about thrills then the shows, etc. I know people who say "Go to Kings Island (for example) if you want thrills". However, I like the shows, small rides, so on, and so forth, but I enjoy thrill rides more. I was just thinking about if Disney added a park like this. Your thoughts?

Many people really enjoy thrill rides - BUT, if it were a Disney park, it would have to have very creatively THEMED thrill rides - not just a 500 foot roller coaster called the Scream Demon or something like that. The only other consideration would be for families. Not everyone in every family likes thrill rides, or is healthy enough to do thrill rides. What would the others in the party do while the thrillseekers were riding? Disney has been in the business of keeping entire families happy in their theme parks since Disneyland opened, I don't think they want to mess with that successful formula.

First, since when is it mandatory for everything Disney to be heavily themed? They could theme rides, but not so much as to where it would take 5 years for the attraction to built.

Tower Of Terror and Splash Mountain are better than Scream Demon? Ha.

Well, let's see here. Not everyone in the family enjoys rides where you are in a boat for five minutes whilst having to listen to a tune looped over and over sang in different languages. Not everyone in the family enjoys attractions where you learn how people are growing food. Not everyone in the family enjoys thrill rides. I could go on and on. Disney already has plenty of attractions that not everyone in the whole family is going to enjoy, so how is this a problem if there was an all thrill park? What do people in the group do while the others are on something they don’t want to? They either wait and/or split up. Either way, you’ll be doing one of the previous things. Plus, if not everyone wants to go to this park, they don’t have to go. I’m sure attendance would do fine if it were good enough because many coaster enthusiasts would go.

Read my above facts. They trick you into thinking this.

I love thrill rides. I especially love the thrill rides at Islands of Adventure.

I'm going to move this to our community board for you.

I'm a coaster enthusiast. I just came back from Six Flags Great Adventure, riding Superman Ultimate Flight over 8 times. Pretzel loop is amazing, B&M are my Gods ;)

However, loving coasters, I have a different appreciation for Disney. I love the theming, and I actually DO enjoy small world (once....I can't take it any more than that!).

I think that Disney should install more thrilling coasters, while adding more of the Disney theming element. Look at Universal. They installed 3 world class coasters, VERY thrilling, but still have an area for kids in IOA. They have many rides that the whole family can enjoy, however, many of the rides are more thrilling than Disney.

Disney needs to take this approach. Keep the family rides, cater to EVERYONE, including us die hard coaster junkies :)

Disney just wouldn't be Disney if it plopped down a Vekoma here, an Intamin there.
