right now I'm booked with Dollar, but have noticed rates on Thrifty are significantly lower. Anyone have any bad experiences with Thrifty? Also noticed that Thrifty is not "in" the airport. Is this a big negative?

Thanks:wave2:

i just used thrifty..the shuttle wasnt a problem..it was a little hard finding them to return car ..didnt pay close enuf attention on my way to disney..and map not to good they give you...the line was long..and the counter person was a pain..first i gave him a coupon for free upgrade said it wasnt good for another week..asked if i wanted upgrade..would have cost ywice as much i said no and he acted like i was cheap ..then came the high preasure to take insurance..i told him no my insurance covered me..the told me that if you recked the car you would have to pay them for the days it was out of service..went on and on...it only cost 98 dollars for a misize car for a week...i think the incoweince was worth 100.00 which how much more it would have cost me...so if you rent be prepared to deal with a little preasure for insurance

We have used Thrifty twice. We usually use Priceline and end up with Avis, Alamo or Hertz, but if my bid doesn't get accepted, Thrifty is the cheapest option.
The shuttle bus normally isn't a problem, although Christmas week, when we were heading back to the airport, they stopped in the hotel area first. They were going to drop off a family, but when we got to the hotels, they said, "This isn't where our hotel is," so the driver went to the airport before taking them wherever we were going. I think they should take people to the airport first, but I don't think hotel dropoffs happen too often.
Their service from the airport has always been great. The shuttle has either been there waiting already or has pulled up literally within one minute.
The pressure for the insurance has been about average. We have been upgraded one car class higher once out of the two rentals (we always book a cheapie). Since we will probably be using them in the future, I signed up for Blue Chip, which is free and eliminates the insurance pitch.
We gas up at the Circle K on Boggy Creek and then drive through the airport to return the car. If you do that, all you have to do is follow the North Exit signs and they will be on your left, just past the Renaissance Hotel.
