anyone ever use them anywhere, want to know if I should rent from them, thanks in advance :cool1:

Used them in Oct last year. They are off site but shuttle was right there and took little time at all. No problems for us. Time share people(they will give you directions) seemed pushy but I basically ignored them.

I used them in Minneapolis in December, got a clean Dodge Neon, and was pretty impressed overall.

For my upcoming June trip to DL (Anaheim), I have reserved a discounted luxury car from them for the cost of most other agencies medium-priced cars. I'm supposed to be getting a Chrysler 300, or something similar, for the cost I've seen Tauruses go for at other agencies. Needless to say, I'm pleased about this. ;)

I have used Thrifty a couple of times. I was satisfied with the car and the service, and I got excellent prices thanks to coupons and codes from Sam's Club.

The Thrifty facility is off-airport, but is one of the closest rental companies - their facility of just north of MCO property, and the bus ride is only about 5 minutes.

Join the Thrifty Blue Chip Club - it's free, and lets you skip the lines and the insurance sales pitch.

I just used them last weekend and they were fine!! They had the lowest rates and we were in and out fast beacuse I had signed up for Blue Chip!! :thumbsup2

We have used them many times in Orlando and never had a problem. Being off site really isn't a problem. We also used them in Chicago, also no problem. I would not hesitate renting from them if they have the best rates.

Definitely sign up for Blue Chip. Gave me a free upgrade in Orlando back in Oct. 2005. Shuttle is quick and return is easy. Gas station is across the street in case you need to fill up before returning. I've gone with them my last two trips.

We rent from Thrifty every time we go to WDW. We always rent a full size car and have been upgraded the last three times (twice to a mini van and once to a premium). They are off-site but the shuttle runs about every 10-15 minutes from the rental car level. As posted before, make sure you sign up for their Blue Chip program. Separate line and no insurance sales push.

Willcad - I love all the maps you have online! They are very helpful. (Do you have any maps of the Swan hotel? I'm curious to see the size.)

Re: www.Samsclub.com - I've tried yesterday and today and their site must be down. I am a Sams member and would like to do my car research today, but can't get to their website. Oh well.... can anyone else get their website to come up????

I've used them twice and got excellent deals both times. The first was to rent a Dodge Durango in Tampa for a week - I think it was right around $200 or something like that. The other time was on a full-size car in Tulsa...when I got there, they were out of full-size, so they upgraded me to a Jeep Liberty at no extra charge - that was about $150 for 6 days. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again - and encourage you to sign up for their Blue Chip membership - it's free and lets you bypass the long rental counter lines.

Is Thrifty the one where you can choose your own car? I am usually a Hertz/Budget person but Thrifty's price for next week was 1/3 their price - got a full size for $123 per week, with extra days at $19.50!!
