I currently have reservations with both Thrifty and Dollar for a compact car for my upcoming trip. I'm curious what people have actually had for a compact car when renting from MCO? I know that they are basically the same company.
TIA!

A couple of years ago I went to WDW for a 3 day spring fling at the last minute and figured a compact car from Dollar(it was the cheapest rate, I usually rent from Alamo) would be fine for such a short trip. I got a Dodge Caliber which was the worst rental car I have ever had. No power windows, no remote door locks and the car sounded like it was on its last legs. Mind you at the time,at home I was driving a 14 year old Honda Accord, not some brand new car. I really missed having the power windows in Florida where you open and close them frequently(tolls), and also missed the remote door locks for safety reasons traveling by myself. Now these may not be issues for you,if I had been on a longer trip I would have returmed the car. Of course this could be just one out of thousand experience, but I would be leary to rent this category again from either Thrifty or Dollar.
