Three Year Old Birthday

We are heading to WDW right before my 2 year old turns 3. We didn't get the exact dates we wanted so we are traveling about a month before her birthday but would still like to celebrate it there. Should I enter her birthday as sooner than it is so that we celebrate or enter it correctly?

someone told me to put it as a day we will be in MK- should we do this?

Don't do this. Once she turns 3 you will have to pay for her park ticket, hotel room, and buffet meals. At 2 she is free! You can still celebrate a month early.

We went the week before DD1 turned 3 and let her wear the "it's my birthday" pin all week. It was also my actual birthday during the week so I wore my birthday pin on the actual day. The rest of the time we wore the "I'm celebrating" pins. I get the sense that happens a lot; DD1 was treated like a princess the whole time.

Nothing will stop you from celebrating your child's birthday. They don't automatically do anything free or anything like that so not sure what adjust dates would get you.

Also if you where to adjust their birthday you would have to pay for everything. At 2 they don't cost for entry, hotel rooms, and fixed fee eateries (buffets, all you care to eat, dinner shows, etc) so changing her age would actually hinder your trip.

I was told that her age at check out was all that was counted in terms of her ticket and hotel. Maybe I was misinformed. That was from a TA>

It is whatever you say her age is so if you change it on MDE they will charge it as is. You can write on any reservation you want that you are celebrating her birthday even though it isn't her actual birthday. There is no reason the change what the system actually says as it can create problems. I have no clue why a Ta would say change it in the system because Disney doesn't do anything for any celebration by default. Anything that happens is due to "pixie dust" and if it is actually the child's physical birthday or just a note on the reservation (hotel and/or dinning). They do cupcakes at most tabelservice but you get that just by telling them when you check in for the dinning reservation that you are celebrating your little ones birthday.

Keep her true birthday. They don't really ask you what her actual date when giving you a birthday pin or treating her to a birthday cupcake. My kids turned before we went but it wasn't their birthday week even, we celebrated the whole trip and they loved every minute. They even became aware of others celebrating and would start to wish other kids happy birthday when they saw the pins. People celebrate birthday and anniversaries well before or after all the time. Treat the trip as a birthday trip. She'll love it, its about her anyway.

My son turned 3 years old during his birthday trip, as long as they are 2 years old when you check in you don't have to buy a ticket, pay at buffets, etc.. However, there is really no point in putting in a fake birthday. They don't do much for your birthday anyway and it will make no difference if it's their actual birthday, a week or a month early.
