Three Year Old Adolf Hitler

It seems to be a lose/lose for the company. People are mad that the first place wouldn't do it, and people are mad that the second place did do it.

I do, however, have a big issue with the parents if that is what you want to call them. Those children will be haiting life when they are old enough to understand what their parents have done.

Imagine the kid in school and later filling out a job application! You have pretty much doomed your kid to become a target.

Exactly. Naming your kid Adolf, particularly if you are German or naming him after an old German relative or something, is not so weird. It's a pretty normal German name.

It's the glorification of the Hitler part that means they are just looking for a fight. Did you see what their other kids names are?

I agree. They are looking for a payday, and I sincerely hope they get nothing.

Our local new channel ran a story on this a few weeks ago, and I remember the father clearly saying that ShopRite was a racist company (or some such nonsense) for not writing the name on the cake.

As far as the kids go, I think they will do one of two things; they will either grow up to be just as horrible as their parents, OR they will grow up and resent what their parents have done to them, and change their own names to something normal.

That's the part that gets me. Adolf...sure, it could be an old family name. My friend's grandfather was named Adolf. But to claim that you are okay with other races and then name your daughter Aryan Nation? Seriously?

I agree that he is looking for some money. Like another poster said, it is the emphasis on Hitler. I never had my first and middle names on my birthday cakes. Only my first name.

Seriously. And it's pretty clear the parents were looking for a fight-I think it's fairly rare that you put the First Middle on a cake.

These parents are morons. They've pretty much guarenteed those two kids will have a much harder time in life. If he can't get a birthday cake where the business gets money for dealing with them can you imagine how hard it will be for him to get a job where the business has to PAY to be affiliated with them? Same with her, if you saw that name come across your desk wouldn't you pass over it? Especially if it was any sort of job that dealt with anyone outside the business, there is just no way you could have that affiliated with your company. "Ya we'll be sending our rep Adolf Hilter to the conference"

These parents aren't trying to raise normal kids. They're raising biggots who will never provide anything useful to this country. It's very sad and I applaud the stores for not making these cakes for these idiots. I'm all about free speech, but they are a private company that can make appropriate cakes for who they choose, even if it means losing the $10 they would have gotten for making the cake.

It just goes to show that Wal-mart will do most anything for a $.

The parents giving their children those names have done them no favors, however, it's their right to name them whatever they wish. Some countries, France, for one, have laws against naming children after infamous people.

I read that neither of the parents works either. They live off welfare and your tax dollars while they continue to produce kids. The reason... the dad has a back problem and can no longer mow lawns (um, fine, looney bin, get a job that doesn't involve manual labor then) and the mom has some issue, emphazema I think that prevents her from waitressing (um... )

Losers. The whole lot of them. People like that make me sick.
