Three women arrested for assaulting Spirit Airlines employees at FLL

Well, you're right that only one side of the situation is presented in the article.

But how do you get from that fact to "...one of those Spirit employees ran her mouth a little more than she should have?"

I'm not following the logic. If somebody "runs their mouth a little more than they should" I get to beat them up?

The news story and video only shows one side of the story. Im willing to bet one of those Spirit employees ran her mouth a little more than she should have.

Someone with a job is not going to risk mouthing off to a customer if they have common sense. They know they’d lose their job- why would any sane person risk a job especially these days! Yes it only shows one side but I’m sure the women were extremely mouthy- the one smiled in her mugshot!

The last thing any gate agent wants is to get into an argument with a customer. But there is never a reason to lay a hand on anyone who's in a customer service position. I guess those three will be going overland for quite some time. (I'd like to know what triggered this! - the delay?)

Hahaha, I dont condon violence at all. The article just makes it sound like the attackers attacked for no reason at all. Of course one sided, like they always are. Just my gut feeling someone ran their mouth, which is usually all it takes.
Well it’s not like the news didn’t attempt to tell both sides. They chose not to tell their side, possibly on the advice of council.

...much less a hand, or a fist, or a foot, or a metal sign...

customer service reps who “run their mouths” lose their jobs. I’ve spent 40 years in customer service. It’s a thankless no-win job. NOTHING excuses those people’s’ actions.

Watching the video, it looks like the attackers weren't originally even close to the counter. I disagree that the airline employees even may have instigated anything.

Anyone else think the mugshots looked less than remorseful? I'm guessing they'll be on the no-fly list very soon.
I wouldn't get too wrapped up in mugshots. Often the corrections officers taking the pictures will joke around with the arrestee to get a more natural look in the picture. The girl on the right, in particular, looks like she's laughing at something the person taking the picture said.

Nah, if that were the case I don't think many people would hesitate to shout to the rooftops what provoked them. I mean do you really think so? They were asked what happened and they simply said they were trying to get home. They had the opportunity to lay blame on the airline and didn't. My gut feeling is whatever they had going on emotionally it was amplified by a delay in flight (which we've all seen how that can ignite tempers..well at least if you fly enough you'll see it at least once). They resorted to a physical altercation. It appears they probably want to keep quiet now so as not to further implicate themselves in more wrong-doing.

You're not wrong that it's one-sided at this point but your initial go to of the 'running their mouth' and not only that that you lay that on the airline employees reflects probably more than you want it to about yourself.
