Geat thread!!!
Although I have been to WDW a dozen times in the past 8 years, last Nov. was the 1st time with my grandkids (Paul, 4 & Tabitha 3)
1. If you are in World Showcase and want to catch the bus back to the resort DO NOT walk to the front of the park and exit. Instead, catch the friendship boat in World Showcase, ride it to the MGM Studios stop and catch the bus to your resort there. You will get a nice chance to sit and relax!
2. TL is as much fun for a 50+ "girl" as it is for kids! You get me in a tube on the lazy river and I'm good for the day!
3. I love to watch the street entertainers at MGM Studios! If you are busy trying to get to the rides you miss so much!!!
4. Wet wipes are a must!!!
5. Never go anywhere without your rain ponchos!!!
6. We love Pizza Planet!!! Great food and prices!
7. Have a plan for lost kids. Tell them to have a CM take them to Guest Relations and you will pick them up there. If they know what to do in an emergency, they will be less apt to panic (or mom & dad!) This has worked for me on many occassions. Would you believe my 16 year old DS(with Asperger's) became separated from the rest of the family at the Osbourne Lights when we were down there in Nov. After waiting and waiting for him at the bus stop I remembered our rule about where to go when lost and went to Guest Relations at MGM. Sure enough, there he was...waiting for someone to claim him!
8. If you have a smaller apetite, it is perfectly fine to order a kid's meal!
9. Tonga Toast is yummy!!!
10. Do wear shoes that give you plenty of arch support!
