Saying a prayer for my round tires as I get ready to drive to OKC later today. Beyond that, I think I want to focus on pretty stuff and go for jewelry.
1. Diamond stud earrings- years ago, DH bought me a beautiful set. I confused the heck out of him when I said I liked rounds, because it was one of the shapes I did not want for my engagement ring. I wanted rounds for earrings because they could spin around and always look right. I have a smaller emerald cut pair that annoy the heck out of me because they’ll often turn sideways.
2. Solitaire ring- before retiring, my grandfather set aside two solitaire diamond rings in anticipation of grandchildren. I received the first one. It’s not huge but a decent size. It’s a flawless European cut round with really good color. It’s absolutely stunning and crazy to think it was side aside for me before I was even born.
3. Watch face- I’ve always preferred a round face. There’s just something pleasing to the eye. My Garmin has a round face but I much prefer wearing my luxury dress watches. Two were gifts from work, a couple were things I just got for the fun of it, and one was my big souvenir when we were in Switzerland. So, functional, pretty, durable and full of memories.
