Now that Lucy Van Pelt has her shingle out for business....alas I am not a customer...I do not have OMBROPHOBIA . for that I am very grateful...OH so very grateful
Any 3 things you're grateful for today (Sun, 11/23) and/or bonus discussion topic to kick off Thanksgiving week: Does your family (or Friendsgiving group) do any sort of gratitude project on the holiday that you'd like to share in case others are looking for ideas?
I often see families on TV go around the table and say what they're grateful for.
Mine does something different every year (which I'm usually in charge of setting up). This year, we will each be writing things we're thankful for on one or more strips of colored paper and combining them all to make a paper chain.
Some of our past years' projects were writing things on paper feathers we stuck to a turkey shape, or leaves that we made into a wreath, etc.
I like these because it takes the pressure off (not being in the spotlight in the moment) and gives guests something to do before dinner is ready. It can also be a nice keepsake for the host and something fun to look back on as you unpack the Thanksgiving decorations next year.
Polly - I love your grateful activities. I tried this with my family before, but they’re kinda boring and don’t like to do fun activities (I’m talking about both sets of parents).
#1 - LIFE - Being blessed with the gift of life to experience another day on this wonderful planet will always be the #1 thing I’m grateful for.
#2 - A BEAUTIFUL WEATHER DAY TODAY - It’s going to be a sunny beautiful day today with temps in the 50s. We’re going to spend all afternoon outside picking up leaves
#3 - MY JOB - I love my job, I love my boss, I enjoy the majority of our patients. I am so blessed with having the job I have. Going to work is never an effort. Sometimes the worst part of going to work is the drive on a cold, icy, snowy winter day.
1. My family. To me, the people in my life are the best gift that I have been given and I try to be appreciative of them every day. Even when they make it difficult. The last year has been very hard and full of loss and change. I am grateful for every extra day that I have been given with my mom.
2. My health. Greatful I can get out of bed and go to work without physical issue.
3. Greatful that I got to raise my kids in the same house where DH Grandma raised her kids and DH spent many days playing and working as he grew up.
I’m grateful for my job I’m grateful for my boss with that being said he can be a most generous man he can be a little tyrant too don’t get me wrong he can be nasty and me downright nasty and me and then I’m with a blink of an eye he can be the most generous nicest person on the planet on the same day on the same hour you never know what you’re gonna get but if you need something if you need help he’ll help you and he doesn’t rub it in your face he doesn’t hound you to pay him back he never mentioned it never says a word he has helped me so many times I’m very grateful for my job so many things in my life that needed to happen would not have happened if not for this man and this job
I’m very grateful for steroid shots and the doctor that was willing to give them to me this has helped me avoid for a very long time having to have another surgery I’m hoping to continue this for a very long time
I’m extremely grateful for all my friends I know who my true friends are and I’m very grateful for them
I also love your thankful traditions dear PollyannaMom. Dear Bluecastle, thank you for sharing special memory with us Dear Slo, God's gift of life and through Him is beyond a blessing indeed. Dear WLWildlife and dear Curtis, old friends and a happy home with positive memories are such grace also.
I am extra thankful this morning to have gotten a good night sleep.
Dad and I having a couple new flooring options is also a grace.
Delivery from Ralph's and Walmart sure are incredible resources to be able to use. Amazon, too.

Because they don't have the tradition of eating strange foods once a year... they will use the day to refined the infrastructure of the US largest outdoor rummage sale
Set up starts tomorrow for 3 days then the Americans, 20% of the volunteers show up Friday to unload trucks into areas that 80% of the Canadian volunteer force developed
