Three Things...Gratitude Thread

Since I missed a few days due to family stuff, I am going to try to combine all 3. 3 simple things that start with D and have numbers :)

My Disney wall calendar

Duolingo on my phone.

Disney trips are never simple, but there are many simple joys there. One of my favorites was during our holiday trip in 2022 when my DGD was 4 and during the MK Christmas fireworks, my DD and DGD stared dancing spontaneously to We Wish You a Merry Christmas. So glad that I recorded it and can relive that wonderful memory.
(Oops, no numbers in that….)

I will add (no pun intended) my calculator!

Numbers:

1. My smartwatch/fitness tracker + app - my life seems to be governed by my watch/fitness tracker, with it tracking my steps and daily exercise, as well as using it for my alarm and other notifications.

2. Calculator - not necessarily a physical one but I'm always grateful for the calculator app thats on my tech and work laptop.

3. My bank account - let's face it, if I didnt have numbers in my bank account then I wouldn't be able to do anything or at least anything that I want to do, so I'm always grateful for what I have in here and what it lets me do.

Thirsty by the numbers

Jesus was thirsty at the Samaritan well and told the woman drawing the water that she was correct.. she had 5 husbands

I bring 5 plastic gallon commercial tea jugs to fill for our drinking water as the county water will not quench your thirst

It cost 50 cents...10 cents a gallon..one needs a deep pocket of 25 cents 🪙 🪙 🪙

Just got back from more softball travel yesterday. We were in the Atlanta area for about 5 days and are about to turn around and head to California later this week. In fact, I am going to do the Disney edition of today's theme since I'm toying with the idea of a day at Disneyland while we're out there. They've offered a discount for players and their guests, but it's only $10 off per person, which isn't really much. In any event...

1. It's a Small World - It is so colorful and cheery. I think all of the vibrant colors tied in from Mary Blair's concept art and all of the masterful Alice Davis costume creations are really why it's my favorite.

2. The Enchanted Tiki Room - Between the birds, the flowers, the foliage and the tikis...it is a feast of colors in there. It's another colorfully cheery attraction.

3. Paint the Night - I see that it's back for the 70th and is about 98% identical to what we saw during the 60th in 2015 (they modified it a bit for repairs and size issues when it moved to DCA and permanently changed the finale song due to Song of the South ties). As much as I love MSEP, the bold and vibrant colors of PTN made me fall in love. It's honestly one of the things that still has me leaning towards a colorful day at Disneyland.

Wouldn't say no to some gummi worms right now!

1. Brightly coloured cars - my current car isn't a bright colour (a nice but rather underwhelming metallic grey) but I have a huge appreciation for being able to easily spot your car in a car park! My old car was a beautiful bright blue and I miss it so much 😢 photo below

2. Electric blue clothing - in a similar colour to the above, i have a number of items of clothing in a bright/electric blue that i adore and really standout. Especially love wearing them to work and being a bit different.

3. M&Ms - the crispy biscuit ones especially are my faves and aside from the brown one, are the first sweet treat that comes to mind when I think of bright colours.

Of course you should!!

Agreed! I also went from bright blue to a more muted color, and while almost everything else about it is an upgrade, I do spend more time looking for it. :rotfl:

Swedish Fish
Definitely!!

Good Tuesday Afternoon

#1 - Balloons - I love bright cheerful balloons

#2 - Nailpolish - The brighter the better for me this time of year. My nails are currently a super bright almost neon pink

#3 - My Summer Clothes - I have fun wearing lots of bright colors and patterns during the summer months.

Good afternoon hug to all. I'm late in posting today. Dear Lee, my sincere apology for not PMing you yesterday, it was a whirlwind Monday. Today has been busy, too. I promise to be in touch today or tomorrow :)

Rainbows by my faith belief are a reminder that forever God is with me.

Colorful shoelaces can be a lot of fun.

I am currently wearing penguin print purple pajama pants which are bright and cozy, too.

Sorry to disappoint but it means they dont melt... that's why I like them 😋 are the crispy ones available in the States? They're pretty popular over here.

Apparently, we have "crunchy cookie" but not "crispy".

AI says...
Crispy M&M's have been discontinued in the US, though they were previously reintroduced and then discontinued again. They were initially pulled from shelves in 2005, then brought back in 2015, and finally discontinued in 2022 in favor of the Crunchy Cookie variety, according to Wikipedia. While no longer available in US stores, they can still be found online, including on Amazon, though prices may be higher and the size potentially smaller. They remain available in other countries like Europe and Australia.

(Please forgive American AI for calling Europe is a country. 🙄 )

No. Crispy ones being advertised... not my first to go purchase.. I don't mind the chocolate melting in my hands... not that as ever been a problem...I do however use them as the dye keeps me awake to depart the Yuma train at 3:10 in the morning

Colorful watermelon 🍉 🍉 🍉 🍉 just cut open and I saw it harvested from the Colorado River flood basin
