Three Things...Gratitude Thread

7 Layer Salad - delicious I don’t make it very often and I really should because it is so delicious

Layer desserts - you don’t like parfaits I got into a thing where I used to make one every weekend bad for the diet delicious to eat
Bust up a cake pudding or do cake and fruit they are so delicious

Casseroles - like where you take all the leftover Thanksgiving food and make a casserole out of it and then dumped the gravy on top of it pop that in the oven delicious!!

Sandwiches - again I’m gonna stick with a turkey theme - again you can take almost all your Thanksgiving fixings and make a sandwich pop in the oven make it a little toasty delicious

I think I must be hungry because I stuck with all food items🤣🤣🤣🤣
 
Clothing layers for sure. Dear WDWEPCOT, when I enjoyed heavier desserts, I loved Denny's vanilla ice cream with oreo and hot fudge parfaits!

Dad enjoys Milano cookies with an extra flavor inside and the same with a filled donut every now and then. For me a food layer is two slices of white bread with one slice of American cheese.

Stickers can be layered to make a more personal card :)

This topic is right up my alley since I’m leaving for the gym soon and I love working out - it’ll be hard to narrow it down to 3. I’ve been working out my entire adult life. Some times more than others depending on what’s going on. At this time in my life, I’m working out the most, because I want to be strong as I start moving closer towards elder years.

#1 - The Treadmill - I love walking on the treadmill. I set up my iPad to watch a TV series or movie and the time flies by.

#2 - Free Weights & Weight machines - Lifting weights can be very addicting. It’s so fun to push yourself to lift heavier weight and achieve goals with that. It’s also addicting to see your body change because of it. My BMI is the lowest it’s ever been at 53 years old, which I’m very happy about, which is great because that means I’m burning fat and building muscle.

#3 - My Elliptical - I can’t forget about my elliptical in the basement. This one is actually my second one. This was my COVID present to myself. I was so bummed about not being able to go to the gym anymore that I decided to replace my old elliptical with a nice new one. That elliptical was my best workout friend during COVID. I also bought myself some free weights too. I spent 2 1/2 years in the basement until I returned to the gym. I don’t use it much anymore since I’m always at the gym, but when I can’t go to the gym, I still use it and every time I get on I say, “hello, my friend”
