Three Things...Gratitude Thread

Hot Fudge - I could eat that stuff right out of the jar delicious

I’ll second ranch dressing I put that stuff on just about anything

Cream cheese you can make so many things with cream cheese almost every dip or cheese ball is made with cream cheese Plus it’s really great for making sauces

Good Tuesday Morning!

#1 - Another Hot Fudge Answer - Hot fudge was the first thing I thought of. Probably because DD21 and I will be going out to dinner to Dairy Queen pretty soon for our annual Dairy Queen dinner (I’ll be getting a hot fudge sundae) and then we go look at Christmas decorations in people‘s yards. It’s a fun night and something I look forward to every year, and something I am very grateful that she still wants to do with me.

#2 - Gravy - I’m grateful for gravy every time I pour it over my mashed potatoes, meat or stuffing. So good!

#3 - Sour Cream - We all love sour cream around here, and I always have plenty of it in the refrigerator. I love it on my baked potatoes, love it when I make pierogies, love it when I make homemade mashed potatoes and I can go on and on. I’m always grateful for sour cream, especially when it’s Daisy sour cream.

Maple syrup... REAL maple syrup. In fact, just about anything maple. Maple is one of my favorite flavors.

GRAVY. My sisters and I have often been reminded that gravy is a condiment, not a beverage! Hahaha, sacrilege!!

Queso, the fancy name for hot, liquid cheese. Good on so many things, including a spoon!

Pineapple Sauce combined with Magic Shell & nonpareils - This is my ideal sundae topping.

Cream Gravy - It's tasty on a number of things, but I really like it for dipping my Whataburger fries. They usually have it because it's served with their chicken strips, but I'll use it in place of ketchup. Which is funny, because their ketchup is really good.

Butter - As much as I appreciate real maple syrup, I don't actually like it on any traditional foods. I like butter on top of my waffles and pancakes. It's also good on breads, especially some of the compound butters with special salts and seasonings/herbs.

Ice cream toppings, whether that is hot fudge, pineapple, strawberry, caramel . . . All good!

Real maple syrup, especially on cinnamon French toast

A1 Steak Sauce - I especially like a little bit on pot roast with potatoes and carrots, but it’s good on burgers and steaks too. It and BBQ sauce are the only condiments/sauces I will eat at all.

🐪 Happy H U M P DAY! 🐫

#1 - Gloves - With my Raynauds, I’m grateful for gloves from about Labor Day to Memorial Day.

#2 - Christmas Socks - I’m grateful for all the Christmas socks that either I’ve bought or my DH bought for me over the years - they are so fun!

#3 - Running Shoes - I’m very grateful for them every time I wear them, especially to the gym. I’m not grateful for the price though - they are so expensive.

I collect salt and pepper shakers. Some of them are really pretty, some are really fun. One of my favorites is Snow White kissing Dopey on his little naked head.

My holiday socks. I have at least one pair of socks for Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, 4th of July (which I also wear on Memorial and Veterans' Day), Halloween, and Thanksgiving. I also have enough Christmas (or related) holiday socks to wear a different pair every single day between Thanksgiving and New Years (although I'm not sure if this is something to be proud of or the manifestation of obsession...)!

My kitties... although they are gone now. Potter and Weasley were litter mates, and as DD is an only child, they were her siblings. They were quite the pair, and I miss them all the time.

Socks - I must admit that I am not the best about putting up clothes and pairing my socks. When I find something I like, I get extra pairs so that it's easier to make pairs. Even if it's mix and match with colors, they will still feel the same on the foot.

Shoes - I love shoes. I am pretty sure DH will not be buying me any for the holidays, so I treated myself to some I've been eyeing since June. There's another pair I'm interested in, but I may hold off because I probably will need to replace my joggers soon. In fact, if I get back into distances...I may need two so I can alternate to reduce injury chances. Brooks Glycerin are still my go-to.

Our Girls - They are so different, but I always think of the kids as a pair. DD18 is home from college, but she's in nocturnal college kid mode. So, I often don't see her until late in the afternoon. DD16 is more of an early bird. They've been this way since infancy... one was my sleeper and the other was not. Still, they're a pair!
