Three Things...Gratitude Thread

I would say pajamas too, but mine are cool and comfortable. I rarely need warm pajamas!

If we are talking about fashion, I have to say handbags. I love handbags, especially colorful or novelty handbags.

Comfortable shoes. I have hard feet to fit, very wide with short toes, so I care less about how they look than how they feel. I can remember when I was a kid, one year during the back to school shopping there was one pair of shoes in the whole mall that fit, and they were ugly olive green things. It’s not quite so bad these days.

I am the queen of comfy clothes! I haven’t thought about fashion since I was in 8th grade :)
LOL, The wife and I are much like you. I will buy some name brand stuff here and there but I am more than happy to buy clothes from Costco. Why spend $80 bucks for some golf shorts when I can buy something just as nice for $15 at Costco.

Wednesday:hug:💕to all

Lord of Lords, Jesus by my faith.

One of Champ's nickname as I believe I have shared, was Lammie. Memories of him and the blessing he was to my family and I. Gift by my faith that I will see him again one day.

Life. Every breath is so precious.

I’m grateful for me ❤️ I’m a L

Life - Grateful for life it’s not always sunshine and puppies but it can always be worse - life is a roller coaster 🎢 we are all on the ride - some of us are prone to be car sick 🤢 (me) at times but I’m still grateful !!

Love - I’m grateful I have the capacity to love ❤️ I may love to hate something but it’s still love 🤣🤣 seriously I’m grateful I have loving relationships

Language - I enjoy learning other languages - I’ve picked up words along the way from coworkers and enjoy using them to converse with them in their native language !! Helps a lot in doing my job !! We have an app we often use or at times we have gotten a person to translate as it was a bit complicated! Grateful we have someone who can provide such a service !!!

LLLLL

Libraries -- Long may they Live.

Light evenings -- So relaxing.

Lip Balm -- Especially, the natural ones and the lightly tinted ones.

Limes & Lime Juice -- So, refreshing and I, sometimes, find that lime juice can be a good - or better - alternative to lemon. E.g., In a chicken marinade.

Locks -- For security.

Losing track of time -- When you're doing something enjoyable and absorbing.

P.S. Special mention for Lego.

I love all yours!

Definitely seconding Libraries and Lego!! (Those flowers in the link are amazing, @Tink-osophy!)

Lemonade Stands

Label-Makers
LOL I didn't know there was a Link. It must have automatically Linked. Which is fitting for L day!!! :rotfl:

I Love a homemade still Lemonade.

And I, definitely, think I need a Label-maker. Off to google prices...

I think I also need a label maker. I used one at church pre pandemic that was sure handy. Love all of your answers. Grandma loved another "L," lilacs.

WDWEPCOT and another L friend in the kindness thread, I am sure thankful to God for both of you. All L friends and all of the rest of you too :)

Lilies: all varieties
(Honorable mention to the movie: Lilies of the Field)

Lao Tzu: I read the Tao every day.

Lasagna: started making this for Christmas and Easter every year when I was 13. My dad, being 1st generation Italian, had major input in how I should make it. I continued to make it for Christmas every year until I turned 70 and it became too physically taxing (it took 2 days with many rest breaks for my back), but I have fond memories of all those lasagnas.

I'm a little behind. All of this storm stuff has me really frazzled.

Things we wear-
- I love shoes...all kinds of shoes. Whether it's a fun pair of boots, chunky loafers, edgy platform heels, or summery sandals...to a great pair of joggers, hiking boots, or athleisure lifestyle shoes. I love footwear for the fun and function.
- shorts/leggings with thigh pockets - These are my go-to at most times of year. I can dress them up or make them really casual and it's always great to have that side pocket for my phone.
- bags that you "wear"...obviously, you're not going to wear your suitcase in most cases, but things like backpacks, traditional totes, hip/fanny packs, and crossbody bags help make life easier.

L things

- The town where we're staying- The heat, lack of electricity, massive amounts of cleanup that can't be done without electricity, and need to work...along with just being mentally fried...had me looking for hotels last night. The town we wound up begins with an L.
- Linemen- We're praying that power is restored soon, and that can't happen without linemen. We've been told that convoys were on their way or already here. On our drive out of town last night, we passed tons of hotels/motels along the interstate and their parking lots were filled with bucket trucks. In fact, there were at least 20 in the lot of the place where we're staying. They all rolled out before I was up to log into work. They woke up the dog, who started howling about the noise. I've seen pics of them mobilizing in my town. So, maybe we'll be able to check out early and return home.
- Lip Balm- Every time we go west, we seem to forget things. Lip balm was the big one for DH this time. He's picky when he's buying it and doesn't like my go-to. DD17 still had a tube of my fave variety in her bag and shared with us. Hey, we're family...what's shared lip balm in the mountains among family?

(Tue, 7/9) - 3 things you're grateful to wear
1. All the kids musical t-shirts from church
2. Jeans
3. PJs

(Wed, 7/10) - 3 things you're grateful for beginning with L
1. Little kids (and bigger ones too...) that I'm working with this week for the children's musical at church
2. the Lord
3. Light

So.... speaking of the children's musical.... we're now over half-way through the children's musical camp at my church. Kids got the music and script in May, auditions were early June, and they've been working on their parts and music. This week we put it all together with about 50 kids and 15 or so youth helpers (who are also singing and helping with parts/harmony). It's a circus theme with hymn based songs. Performance is Friday at 7 PM Central time. PM me if you want the streaming link to see all the hard work these kids have put in this week! :)

L things...

Well, there's ME!! I'm leebee here, Lee in real life!

Laughter- the best medicine ever. I've always said, "You can laugh or you can cry, but there are just so many tears- so laugh!"

Leftovers- some of our best dinners have been inspired by leftovers!

Lambs- Baby lambs are so freaking cute and funny! (and I'm also a creature, as I appreciate them at the dinner table, too!)
