Three Things...Gratitude Thread

Things in Nature.

Today, I'm appreciating sensory experiences out in nature. ☺️

Sun shining on quiet hilltops. ⛰️🌞

Leaves fluttering in summer breezes 🌬️🍃

Tiny 'waterfalls', as water naturally flows over rocks and stones in streams - the sound and movement is, at the same time, invigorating and relaxing! 🌊

Mountains- people often ask “beach or mountains?” Definitely mountains!!! Less than a week and we’ll be in the Denver area.

Fish- I love all of the underwater cams like Deerfield Beach and Pompano Beach. You never know what will show up on camera, but it’s so cool to see what’s frequenting the waters under these beach adjacent piers.

Everything around our neighborhood- Slo’s poll the other day is a reminder of how much nature is around us every day. That huge hawk attacking a squirrel in our yard last week was a reminder. Circle of life.

Beaches - y’all know how I feel about beaches and with that being said you get the oceans ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Mountains- they are absolutely beautiful I can look at them all the live long days. ❤️❤️❤️

Fields of sunflowers 🌻 so pretty !!!

What are the things I enjoy about watching the tour of France is a beautiful pictures of the scenery field of sunflowers the mountains the château you get views from helicopters they just capture so many beautiful places The scenery is just absolutely gorgeous it’s just not always the men on the bikes it’s pictures of bridges over beautiful waters just gorgeous scenery it is not limited to just France I mean most of it is France but they do pop into a few of the surrounding countries
It’s just absolutely beautiful especially the Alps ❤️

Today, during this heatwave, I am especially grateful for the tall trees in our neighborhood. It is so much easier to keep the house cool.

Wildflowers: I love seeing them on the sides of the road and in the medians. Love the colors

Animal Kingdom is definitely one of my favorite places to enjoy nature. I especially love the paths around the tree of life and the other ones in Asia and Africa. I love taking nature photos and I really don’t need to go on any rides when I’m there. (Must see FotLK though) :)

Shade ❤️❤️❤️
Air-conditioning I consider a gift from God and I’m so grateful I have it right now!!! I can’t imagine dealing with this heat without it how did they do it back in the old days and all those clothes with no electricity I can’t imagine !! Wish we had more trees 🌴 for shade !!!

Amen sister. We just replaced our furnace and decided it was time to add A/C. This is our first house with A/C and after hitting some 80+ degree days it is simply amazing.

First house with AC ? The house I grew up and did not have AC we had window units and when I say we had window units I mean my parents had one 🤣🤣 and we had one in the living room so we were lucky to get some of the air from their bedroom and Summers around here are miserable so happy when I got my own place and it has central air
I remember visiting Alaska and it was in the upper 70s and they were all complaining about how hot it was and we were enjoying the weather tremendously but you know they don’t have air-conditioning up there and they were like how can you stand this ? I’m like compared to where I’m from this is beautiful weather🤣🤣 but I wouldn’t want your winters 🤣🤣🤣😳😱
I’m glad you have air conditioning now for this heat wave !!

Nature things...

The night sky. I love looking at the sky and the stars. I remember when I graduated from Cornell and left all my friends behind, so I could go to grad school... I'd be so "home"sick for my friends (we were really like a family), all the way up here in Maine, but I'd look at the sky and think, "They are under the same sky" and somehow that made me miss them less.

Forest foraging. You have to know what you are doing (and I don't, but a good friend does), but there are some pretty amazing things that you can eat, straight from the source.

Pine trees and carpets. I spent many summers at Girl Scout camp, as both a camper and a counselor. I love pine trees, listening to them hum in the wind, their scent in the air. I also love the thick carpet of pine needles under them, and walking through the pines on this soft bed. Gosh, I miss camp.

Good Sunday Morning!

I love the color pink :Pinkbounc

#1 - Flamingos - All my fun fake pink flamingos on my back deck. My DH & DD20 are always buying me new ones for Mother’s Day. They make the deck look so fun and tropical,🦩

#2 - Pigs - DD20 loves pigs and has many in her room (and in the attic that she needs to decide what to do with). . Whenever I see a cute little piggie in stores I think of her. 🐷

#3 - Flowers and Coleus - I love pink flowers and coleus with pink leaves. I plant a lot of these in the front and back of the house 🌸

Sunday joy with love to all.

God's pinks in sunrises, sunsets, and flowers. Light pink budding carnations are my favorite.

Grandma Dolores knitting my playmobile kids light pink felt sleeping bags.

Minty, my loving and loyal childhood stuffed animal bunny is also light pink.

My favorite pink jacket - it's just the right weight

2 glittery pink things I can see from where I'm sitting - one is a styrofoam Mickey head on the top of a pencil, and the other is a little dragon statue

Pink Hostess Snowballs

I do enjoy watching the cams from explore they offer so many you get to see so much my favorite is the bears at Katami National Park at Brooks River getting salmon!! 🍣 I can watch those bears 🐻 for hours they are very entertaining!!!

Love that the cams are back on! Not a ton of activity just yet, but you can see the salmon are already there and I saw 747 on a couple cams yesterday. ❤️🐻❤️
