Three Things...Gratitude Thread

I am grateful for water because it enhances everything it touches.

It makes landscapes more interesting by providing ponds, lakes, rivers, and oceans.

It makes the trees and other plants lush and colorful.

It makes animals sleek and healthy, and keeps us humans alive!

Water...
The ocean has always been my place of peace and restoration. There is nothing so heavy and burdensome that I can't alleviate some of the stress by a walk on the beach or sitting on the rocks, watching the waves crash. The power and beauty of the ocean is central to my soul.

Coffee, tea, beer, wine... I could go on, but you get it!

Hot tubs/soaking tubs. Nothing like a nice, warm soak to ease the tensions of the day. Even better if enhanced by some bubbly, a good book, and some sweets!

Today's Topic (Mon, 11/13) - 3 times you were grateful for either a kindness shown to you or the opportunity to be kind to someone else

I am grateful that we have enough to make “plates for Jesus” which are distributed to people who can use them.

We have supported children who want to go to Sacred Heard School in Camden NJ for many years. It has been a blessing to meet some of them when we can attend Sponsor day/week. The program they put on is extraordinary and the school spirit and caring atmosphere is contagious.

I am grateful especially for DH and my DSis who help every year as we participate in Operation Fireside and open our house to wonderful young people who are working toward becoming Coast Guards. I have limited mobility and there is no way I can do this alone.

Good Morning - It’s the start of a new week

I work every day to show kindness towards others. God has instructed us to love our neighbor and that doesn’t just mean the person next door. I have my flaws, as everyone does with this, but I’m working hard every day to do better.

#1 - I’m grateful for the several parishioners that made me feel welcome when we started at our new church a few years ago - it was a big decision to switch parishes and these people made me and my family feel like we’ve always been there. I will never ever forget their kindness.

#2 - I’m grateful for the employee at the Journey’s store in the mall - on Thursday she searched out a $15 off discount for some UGG boots that I was buying my DD20 for Christmas. I was very appreciative! (So was my MIL, since I was buying the boots for her to give my DD)

#3 - I’m grateful for my friend that surprised me with dinner at my second job a few weeks ago - they know I never bring anything good for dinner and that day I brought left over frozen pizza, so what they brought was definitely better.

I’m very grateful for my boss he can be very crabby as all get out on the other hand he can be the most generous person in the world and he has been extremely generous to me in a time of great need and he did it no problem and he’s done it repeatedly no questions asked here you go
And again with my boss I’m grateful for my job I work for a charity the work we do for wounded veterans warms your heart to see the gifts we give them that opens up their world is moving beyond belief I have seen it brings General's to tears I am forever grateful to our donors to make this possible for us to help our wounded heroes❤️
As I have mentioned before I am forever grateful for my friends I have a very dysfunctional family and I rely on my friends heavily I have had the wonderful pleasure I’ve gotten to know some really amazing people on the DIS Boards and have developed a very close friendship with one of them and this person I am forever grateful for - you know who you are❤️❤️ You were sent to me by God Thank You!!

1 Every moment and breath how grateful I am to God for it! His kindness and mercy allow me to go forth. I pray to serve/witness Him as called with compassion.

2 Dad's extra love, prayer, and kindness doing all he can to offer me even a teeny bit of foot relief.
3 All who have already and will to come sent me postcards for dad's birthday surprise.

(Mon, 11/13) - 3 times you were grateful for either a kindness shown to you or the opportunity to be kind to someone else

1. Grateful for random acts of kindness - I've had people pay for my order in the drive thru a couple of times and once at the grocery store. I was in line at the grocery store with a box of poptarts and the lady in front of me had a huge order. She told the clerk to scan my item so I could go ahead and go, so she paid for it with her order. So kind of her! Saved me time and a bit of money. I've also tried to pay forward in the drive thru which I enjoy doing every now and then!

2. Grateful for volunteers - it takes so many people helping to make many projects run smoothly. It's one things I'm hoping to have more time to do when I retire in a few years (hopefully). I do a little now, but there are so many worthwhile organizations, I hope to be able to do more of it!

3. Grateful for people helping each other at work. Where I work, most people have specific job duties, but as a rule, our office is very good at jumping in to help each other when needed. It makes the days so much better!

Nature - beaches 🏝️ / Mountains - beautiful sunrises and sunsets- preferably on beaches - the oceans being viewed from beaches or Cruise ships 🚢
