Three Things...Gratitude Thread

Breakfast foods -

1. Eggs - I love scrambled eggs, but usually have little egg muffins each morning. I make them on the weekend and they are so easy (and portable) to eat each morning.

2. Bacon - I also enjoy bacon with my eggs most mornings. I've started making it in the microwave and even though it sounds weird, it actually works pretty well and super easy and quick!

3. Cereal - I don't eat it too often anymore, but I love a good bowl of cereal every now and then!

As a general rule I don’t eat breakfast but I’ll do a brunch and then a man do I love a brunch

Hard to find a good brunch unless I’m at Disney California Grill has the best brunch ever!! Then I would go with Palo on the Disney Cruiseline❤️❤️❤️❤️ Of course after brunch I’m done for the day no more eating for me!!! :grouphug:dear Slo!

Kroger brand 🥞mix from Ralph's is my almost daily breakfast! Just 3 very small plain pancakes with syrup--so tasty!
Likewise, I sure do enjoy a very small cup of Kroger Brand Hot Chocolate in the morning.
Dad enjoys 🧇at times. They are too chewy overall for me.
Thomas Mini🥯are good too! :)

My favorite breakfast is Mickey waffles, because that means I'm at Disney! :mickeyjum

For home, I'm grateful for days when we go out to breakfast, because it means quality family time. As a small family, we were pretty undisciplined about the ritual of eating together at the table at home. So when we go out, it's a nice change to do that.

And switching to "waffle-patterned" - I'm grateful for the memories of a favorite blanket when DS was a baby (actually two - we had the same one in light blue and pale green). They rolled up nicely and had just the right weight and texture for playing on. The pattern reminded me of waffles, so we called them "waffle blankets".

1. Pancakes, the absolute best breakfast food and it’s not even a competition in my eyes!
2. Cereal, because of the nostalgia of having cereal and watching tv for breakfast as a kid before school!
3. Mickey waffles, because if I’m gonna eat waffles you best believe I want them Mickey shaped!

DD's waffle suits! When she was little, DD liked to sleep in her long underwear- the traditional, beige, waffle-woven long underwear shirts and pants, although we eventually found some in colors. She called them her waffle suits!

I don't normally eat breakfast, although I love breakfast foods. Too many calories for my system to handle at the beginning of the day. However, sign me up for eggs benedict, beignets, sugar-coated cereal, bacon, sausages, cheese omelets, pancakes, waffles, avocado toast, etc., for brunch!

There is a "coffee shop" here in town called "The Nest" that caters to the college crowd. They make breakfast bowls using yogurt, frozen fruit, avocado, different toppings, fresh fruits and berries, nuts, chia, etc. They have maybe 6 different bowls, and the ones I've had (only 2 as they are about $14 each) have been amazingly tasty and filling!

#1 - I’m grateful for our purple bathroom - this bathroom got redecoratedI’m gratefu, last year and it was my first time painting walls - I did a halfway decent job.

#2 - I’m grateful for a purple flower basket that I bought to attract hummingbirds - it’s beautiful and I’m looking forward to buying two of them next spring.

#3 - I’m grateful for purple reminding me of Lent and Easter….

My bedroom is lilac and although the walls in the bathroom are white, the trim work is darker lilac, with matching throw rugs/bathmat and hand towels. I love it!

Eggplant, wine (because dark red wine really IS purple), grapes.

I have a stunning mini-orchid plant that a student gave me. She said don't worry, I can't kill it and not to panic when it becomes dormant, that it'll re-bloom. She was right! Every time I see one of the little blooms, I think of Remi and smile!

@leebee, so glad you mentioned your mini orchid! I was thinking that I have nothing purple in my house, but then I remembered that my purple orchid is in rest period now, just sending up a new blooming stem!

My other favorite purple flowers are outside lilacs, clematis, water irises and most of all purple hyacinths at Easter!

Figment has always made me smile!

Purple -

1. Purple has always been one of my favorite colors. Not so much to wear, but just visuals of it, I just love it!

2. I went to Northeast Missouri State University (now Truman) and their colors are purple and white. My mom said I chose it because of their colors lol!

3. Eggplant - I love fried eggplant, but don't eat it too often because DH doesn't like it - but when I have it, I love it!
