Three Things...Gratitude Thread

I'm grateful to get to watch the change of seasons where I live. The first tiny hints of fall are starting to appear here, and I love the sense of anticipation.

I'm grateful for the small critters that make their homes here. It's always fun to watch birds at the feeder or see a little bunny out the window, enjoying the sun in the backyard.

I'm grateful for sunny days because they are good for my mood! ☀️

Hummingbirds - they are so cute !

My pesky deer - the baby deers are adorable - had my first big male this week - I knew we had some since we have baby deer every year - he’s been hanging out in my yard - he’s nice to look at and watch
Although cleaning up after the dog is frankly enough so cleaning up after deer a bit much 🦌🦌

The rabbits in my yard - they are often playing with each other and it’s fun to watch them - one is not the least bit afraid of my dog and it’s interesting they stay and eat right with the deer 🦌 🐇

I'm having trouble with this. There's some bad stuff happening here at home that I am not at liberty to share, but it's costing everyone in sleep, peace of mind, and emotional fortitude. It will all resolve, but it's just a lot to deal with.
Right now, I guess I am grateful that you guys are all here on this thread, and on these boards, giving me "someplace" safe to go when my mind and heart need a break.

I'm also grateful that my knee is healing, be it somewhat slowly. Last time DH had knee surgery it got grossly infected. He almost lost his leg, and spent 7 weeks in a nursing home, hooked up to IV antibiotics around the clock, with his leg elevated to insure the transplant and skin grafts held. So there's that.

As always, I am grateful that DH and I have good jobs with spectacular benefits, so even though I am out on sick leave, our income is solid. We can keep the roof over everyone's heads and food on the table. Not everybody has that kind of security.
Many hugs and prayers for you

Good Tuesday Morning!

#1 - I’m grateful for the beautiful birds we have by our house, especially the cardinals - I keep saying we need to get a bird feeder and then I never buy it - I really should buy one soon.

#2 - I’m grateful for the forest next to my house - I love the peacefulness that comes with it. In a few months I’ll probably complain about it when all the leaves blow into my yard - LOL!

#3 - I’m grateful to live somewhere where the leaves change color in autumn - the drive back and forth to DD20’s college is so nice in the fall - the trees are beautiful to look at during a 2 1/2 hour journey (5 hours both ways)

1. Butterflies! They're just so pretty it's hard not to be happy when you see one!
2. The beach, but specifically St Kilda beach in Melbourne. Never seen anything quite like it and I love it
3. Snow, every year I hope it snows and when it does it just makes me happy!

Quiet small beaches to me are extra places of prayer, Presence of God, and peace:beach:

Always 🌲and other trees and flowers, too along with the creatures who make their homes within hollows and branches.

Different seasons although here in LA aren't the same as back East, each season, like each day, is a blessing. Its own time of joy and added thanks from me to God.

Snow ❄️🌨️❄️

The sound of tree leaves rustling in the wind 🍃🍃🍃

Various critters-- all types of birds of prey, but esp. the Turkey Vulture, all types of wild cats, but esp. the Pallas Cat, salmon and bees. 🐝 :cat:🦅 :fish:I'll never see a Pallas Cat in nature, but I love that they exist and love watching videos from nature and zoos with them. So cute and so grumpy looking at the same time. 😻
