Three Things...Gratitude Thread

Good Morning:flower3:

Similar choices to others. Just realized "CHoices," is another answer and how blessed we are to have them.

Most of all, forever, I humbly agree with Slo. Christ, all the extra this Holy Week and every day.

Love how you said that, WDWEPCOT!

Cheese story from this morning! Dad was finally able to get at Ralph's the twin pack (two 16 count packages) of Kraft Singles. $7.49 these days for this daily cheese that I use and dad uses a couple times a week at least is a bargain. He uses "fancier," to me assorted cheeses such as different shredded and flavored cream cheese spreads. He also likes CHeesecake. Just the Singles and plain Kroger Brand whipped cream cheese for me. Count me in the cheese camp🧀:cheer2:

Grandma who I loved so dearly once (I may have previously shared this) wrote me a note on a piece of list type paper that had a piece of cheese on it. It said, "A Note from the Big Cheese." Good memory.

Of course, two favorite CHaracter cheese association of all of ours on here are none other than ::MickeyMo::MinnieMo

(Sun, 4/2) - gratitude for 3 everyday things you do
1. Singing during my morning and evening commute, or really any time I'm driving
2. Reading
3. Dinner with my mom and brother

3 Things you're grateful for from the 1960s
1. The Apollo program
2. My parents getting married
3. The Civil Rights Movement

(Tues, 4/4) - 3 things you're grateful for beginning with "CH"
1. Christ
2. Chairs
3. Chocolate Chips (According to my oldest brothers, my first complete sentence was "Mo' chokwat pips, peas!"... hopefully you can interpret that, given the context. 😆)

Good Wednesday morning - stormy by me this morning.

Gotta love the 70s

#1 - I’m grateful for being born - I’m eternally grateful for my life.

#2 - I’m grateful for awesome movies in the 70s - I’ve always loved movies and the 70s gave us Star Wars, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Jaws and more.

#3 - I’m grateful for my 8-Track Player - I thought I was so cool to have this - my favorite 8-Track tape was my Alvin & the Chipmunks and the Muppet Movie soundtrack.

Tie-Die ❤️❤️
Mood Rings
1976 - Celebrate our Country’s Bday !!! I’ll never forget that !
Price is Right !
JAWS
STAR WARS

I grew up in the 70s since I was born mid 60s - I remember all the stuff - Vietnam on tv every night / Watergate every day - no soap operas
I remember being able to run around and play all day - no cell phones - we walked everywhere - it just seemed safer then.
Can’t say I loved the clothes - no not really except tie dyed - still love that !!!

I've thought this before, but the decades have solidified it - isn't it funny how we are all generally in the same age range? Not discounting at all those that fall above or below as I love them, too! I just think it is funny that we all sort of gravitated to each other on a random message board.

Maybe we all just really need some gratefulness at this point in our lives :D

My mother about had a fit when she walked in when I was about 4 to find me and my older sister Watching Jaws. We weren't scared at all! Lol
I wasn’t allowed to watch Jaws because of the very brief nudity at the beginning. A bunch of us were at the neighbors about to watch it (not sure how—HBO—maybe VHS—it was probably the very late 1970’s or early 80’s by then) and the mom there found out I wasn’t allowed to see it and why so she sat with me with her hands over my eyes until that part was over. LOL.

That's hilarious! It was HBO for us. My mom didn't know we even had HBO. LOL

1970’s:
1. All three of my sisters. I’m more grateful for some than others LOL.
2. My first trip to Disney was in the early 1970’s. Just my parents and me and one sister; the other two weren’t born yet. My relationship with my mom was difficult at times, but I remember her chasing Winnie the Pooh with me because I loved him and wanted to get a better look.
3. Lots of time with my grandparents. My grandfather was definitely a highlight of my childhood.
