Three Things...Gratitude Thread

Cruises / Vacation - Disney is a luxury but at times it’s a needed escape
My Car - it’s got all the options & then some - so grateful - I recall the days of driving cars barely held together with a wing & a prayer !!
My House - it’s not a mansion but it is to me ! Best place I’ve ever lived / best neighborhood too ! So grateful !!!

Our Disney Vacation Club points and our Annual Passes. We get to go often and this year we are treating our DS and DDiL and two of their friends to a week in Aulani. Also treating our other DS and his family and a friend of theirs family to a Disney Beach Club stay.

Our Pond with its fish and plants. Maintenance is a luxury for sure.

My adult tricycle. Riding it in nice weather is an exercise I love doing.

luxuries:
Central AC. The deep South in the summer (well all year is HOT.) Grew up with 1 window unit for the most part, and was thrilled for that. I can't imagine this heat w/o AC like my parents and generations before that had to
Good electronics. We don't really have the newest, or cutting edge, but we have great plentiful computers, etc in the home, TVs, etc.
DVC points-although that is becoming less attractive w/o annual passes.
Also, our paid off home. It needs MASSIVE amounts of work to fix it up, but it's paid for, and in an ever- growing, popular county in TN

Luxuries:
1. DVC
2. Good food—we don’t eat out a lot and almost always use our leftovers, but I don’t scrimp on what I buy—seafood, berries all year round, grass fed beef. I do try not to waste and look for the best deal, but we eat well.
3. Club sports for our kids—only one still in high school, but her club is expensive and the travel is crazy expensive.

Luxuries- y'all up early today!!

1. Deluxe at WDW. We'd rather go less and stay upgraded. Bobbi, I think we will be at VGF when you are.

2. Vacation anytime. Fortunate with our schedules.

3. Eating out at fine restaurants.

Sidebar: procedures today revealed several things, both requiring different surgeries. One of particular concern. If you pray, I'd appreciate being included. Thank you!

So sweet of you to spread the Disney joy ❤️❤️
Thank you, it is a pleasure, and it’s sort of in my genes. I have told this story before. Mom was to turn 85 in 2004, so in 2003, I asked her how we should celebrate. She said at WDW. So, in 2003 we bought DVC, and here is a picture from Mom’s celebration in December 2004. There was one more person, our DFriend, Shirley, who had dialysis and couldn’t attend that function.

Next to Minnie is my Mom, who passed at 97 in 2015. On the other side of Minnie is Erin, who is getting married in Santa Barbara next week, and we will be there. She is a good friend’s daughter. Beverly is next to Erin, blue shirt, and her Dad is before her, also in blue shirt.

3 Luxuries You're Grateful For

1 Honestly to me a luxury is the blessing of each day of life and in health God gifts to me and my dad. Hearing my dad stir each morning also fills my heart with extra gratitude and reminder to me to cherish another day with him thanks to Him.

2 I also do love a warm bed with warm and cozy bedding.

3 God willing sooner than later, a luxury will be to feel comfortable going out safely. Simple, small everyday things that I took for granted pre pandemic and pray to never do so again.

Good Morning!

Luxuries from yesterday (focusing on my current trip)…

#1 - I’m grateful for airplanes to take us to watch DD19 play college softball this week.

#2 - I’m grateful for the hotel we’re staying at - it’s not a high end resort, but it’s very functional and very very nice - I could live here for a month.

#3 - I’m grateful for all the restaurants we’ve tried this trip - they’ve all been fun and awesome.

I’m grateful I got to go to Ireland ! Lovely Country and very friendly people - I hope to return for a longer visit but if not I have very fond memories of Ireland - no I’m not Irish
But we have red hair so they said we were Irish 🤣🤣

Lime Green - one of my favorite colors - wearing it today !!! Goes with the DIS ❤️

Nothing beats green grass - having a dog I don’t have a lot of it 🤣🤣 but enjoy the patches he has not killed ! Thankfully the deer enjoy the weeds and not my grass !! Only good thing about them grazing in my yard !! Nothing else kills those weeds trust me I’ve tried and I can’t get the dog to potty on them !

Bonus - green trees - I just love lots of trees - all kinds of trees 🎄🌴🌳

A holiday that's all about easy ways to celebrate - like simply wearing green (I even have green nail polish on today)

another vote for grass, trees, and everything in general "greening up" for spring

💚 My great-grandmother, who came here from Ireland in 1910 💚

1 My Dad, who is wearing a green flannel shirt today. My eyes that are green-brown (hazel) are the same color as my beloved Grandma's were. The rest of our family, including I believe Champ had/has brown eyes.

1 Evergreen🎄and trees in general.

2 Green has always been one of my favorite colors perhaps because Easter and Spring is my favorite season.
