Three Things...Gratitude Thread

Slo, I also enjoy doing jigsaw puzzles. Dad and I don't have the space to work on a bigger puzzle over time so we enjoy 100 piece puzzles usually from Dollar Tree. Glad you also enjoy putting together a 🧩

Relaxing Things

1 Quiet Morning and Bedtime prayers and extra closeness for me with God.

2 Warm Shower

3 Reading a good book

Relaxing:

Time spent with loved ones (especially Disney trips where we have no set plan and just roll with what the day brings)

Hobbies-reading, movie watching, gardening

Having a lap cat who also enjoys petting

Bonus: thunderstorms (especially when I can watch from a picture window or a covered balcony)

Anything Friday: -

:thumbsup2Exchanging a smile with a stranger. (Recently, I was walking past someone on the street and she looked a bit forbidding. I don't know why, but I smiled at her and her whole face changed and lit up.)

:thumbsup2River Country. I was so lucky to experience Disney's first water park. The Ol' Swimmin' Hole. It was brilliant fun in a relaxed kind of a way. Anyone else?

:thumbsup2Pears, when you eat them in that firm, but juicy sweet spot between crunchy and mushy!!!!

Relaxing Saturday: -

Wood pigeons cooing, especially in the summer.

Wide open spaces....

...And summer evenings.

Good Saturday Morning!

#1 - I’m grateful for my decision, during Lent, to go to confession and Adoration afterwards on Thursdays. Very relaxing to sit in a quiet church with others. After Easter I will continue this as often as I can. It may not be weekly, but it will absolutely be once or twice a month.

#2 - I’m grateful for deciding to do puzzles during COVID. I find jigsaw puzzles incredibly relaxing. I currently have one sitting on the dining room table I’m working on.

#3 - I’m grateful for lazy days floating in the pool. This is one of my most favorite things to do. A hot 90+ degree day with a slight breeze, my pool float, the Michael Buble channel playing, my ice water and my Kindle is all part of a perfect day.
Yes, jigsaws can be soooo relaxing. I really like the older White Mountain maps and collages puzzles.
Relaxing Things:

Early mornings
Sitting by the pool
Having a cat on my lap

(Not at the same time; the cat would hate that 😆 )
You two are so lucky to have pools! They are rare over here; I need to move!!!! 🤣🤣🤣

Relaxing things . . .

-Watching a movie I’ve seen dozens of times and it still makes me laugh (or cry)
-Lying on the sofa under the ceiling fan listening to the music I grew up with
-Sitting on a hotel balcony at the beach with a cool drink, just watching the waves break and the palm trees sway (planning to do that for a day later this month).

Especially way Mother Nature be throwing temperatures like Powerball Numbers and that wind lately - jeez not too mention ❄️❄️❄️ so many people getting done dirty like that - not nice ☹️

Sorry for the late post today (busy morning)

Today's Topic (Sun 3/5) - 3 things you're grateful for beginning with Y

Y

1. Yard birds aka chickens. There was an online discussion between two rival news anchors on FB this morning debating a new chicken restaurant. What would we do without the universality of chickens? My apologies to any vegetarians reading.

2. Yellow daffodils. We have 4 in the backyard. Just four. LOL.

3. Yawns. To let you know it is time to wind down and relax.
