Three Things...Gratitude Thread

As stated before I grateful for my DIS Peeps !!!❤️❤️❤️❤️ I love the DIS awesome online community full of friendly helpful people who happen to love Disney like I do

I’m Grateful for my Friends !!! ❤️❤️❤️
Can’t state enough how awesome they are !

I’m Grateful I have a job - my boss can be grumpy ( very) but he’s also very generous and pretty much leaves you alone with very few rules - I’m allowed to work from home long before Covid because of my spinal injury he set that up for me because my drive in is long and I’m more comfortable at home - very Grateful for that

I’m Grateful I’m not paralyzed - it’s in my future per my bone Dr - I hope they are wrong - we’ve argued a lot about this over the years - so I’m grateful so far it’s not happened ! Let’s keep praying it doesn’t because God forbid if it does it will be from Disc 2 in my neck down which will be total everything - no more DIS for me 🙁

I’m Grateful for ALL the Wonderful Awesome vacations I’ve had over the years such wonderful memories - I’ve met a lot of people - some of you of this thread - I’ve enjoyed cruises and meals and meet and greets and mixology’s with y’all - DVC cruise was one of my most favorites cruises. The DIS / Disney community is a wonderful community and I enjoy going to the Parks and meeting people - I now have friends here across the US / Canada / United Kingdom all thanks to the DIS and Disney - I’m truly blessed and grateful ❤️❤️😎

I’m Grateful for this thread and Slo week day poll - I look forward to them daily and enjoy reading them - I’m grateful no one complains I never stick to 3 items 🤣🤣
I enjoy reflecting on what I have - it’s better than reflecting on what you don’t have

Grateful
Thankful
Blessed

Wow so many things
I feel blessed for my unwavering Faith that gives light to my often murky path
I feel blessed for my mind that helps me make sense of my world
I feel blessed for the people, my family and others who have been sent to help me move through this life. The good gave me comfort and the bad gave me lessons.

Friday-free-for-all:

1. My part time work which is flexible and I can usually set my own days and hours.
2. My dad—the only parent that either DH or I have left. He is 81, in reasonably good health and just got himself a middle aged dog for companionship!
3. Land’s End—a bit random but I mostly wear their coats (when I wear a coat), and I wear their insulated vests almost daily between Novemberish to Aprilish as well as their all weather moccasins on my feet those same months. I have some other clothing from there as well, but the vests and the shoes are a wardrobe stable for me. Swim suits too—love their swim suits.

1.Being able to afford to give into my food cravings occasionally
2. My upcoming vacation(not soon enough!)
3. My new suitcase-our original luggage broke on our honeymoon in 2017 and we haven't been anywhere since-so no need for a new one. This one looks like cotton candy and makes me smile(got my husband a separate plain ole blue one because he's not on board with the cotton candy LOL)

Friday  :grouphug: to each of you along with prayers that you are all staying warm, I am so very ready for summer!

Friday Free For all

Forever above all else, I am grateful with all of my being for Jesus!

I'm also so humbly grateful to wake up each day, extra in health and right mind, ability to I pray serve with kind joy, make a difference. To be able to continue to go through life with my dad, is a daily blessing I also truly cherish and pray to not take for granted.

Grateful to God always for all of you along with other friends and family. Happy Memories plus God willing looking forward to new celebrations to come including my beloved dad's birthday next weekend. I am sure extra thankful during these cold days for warmth including hot chocolate!

Have a wonderful Friday friends.

Grateful we all (me, DH, DD26, DD24, DS20) are all going out to eat tonight to celebrate oldest DDs birthday.

Grateful for our company Christmas party that's going on tomorrow night. It got snowed out one year and got pushed back to January. Everyone preferred it being then because not much is going on that time of the year anyway and we've kept it that same way ever since.

Grateful for this beautiful sunny day that we're having before the next cold front comes through

(Tues 1/24) - 3 things you're grateful for that are made of metal
1. My hip replacement. Don't want to think where I'd be now if it weren't for that.
2. Musical instruments
3. Baseball bats. I live right behind the high school baseball/softball fields, and I love hearing the ping of the bats. It's just a sound of spring/summer for me!

(Wed 1/25) - 3 Kitchen Gadgets You're Thankful For
1. The Microwave (Is that a gadget??)
2. Frying pan (Stealing this answer.)
3. Jar openers

(Thur. 1/26) - 3 Square or Rectangle Things You're Grateful For
1. My dove dark chocolates
2. Roasted Garlic Triscuits
3. My phone

(Fri. 1/27) - Friday Free-for-All: Any 3 Things You're Grateful For
1. Weekends
2. I've mentioned the Awana program at my church a couple of times... I'm thankful for that and the students I get to work with, but very specifically (inspired somewhat by the square/rectangle theme) I'm thankful that my church offers additional Bible memorization options not only for the students when they finish their official books, but also for the leaders. I'm over half way through a "Journey thorugh the Bible" set, (one verse for each book of the Bible) and did Nahum to Acts last night. Starting on Romans to 2 Timothy. Looking at the verses right now, I know most of them already, so will probably be able to complete the whole sheet next Thursday.
3. That I get to talk to my Niece on a video call/chat tomorrow! It may last all of 5 minutes (she's seven...) but at least we'll get to see her!

Good Early Saturday Morning!

I love games. We don’t play very often, but it’s fun when we do.

#1 - I’m grateful for BINGO when I was a kid. My stepdad (RIP) would buy a bunch of cheap little things for prizes and call out BINGO numbers for me and my friends. It was a lot of fun and he was a wonderful man.

#2 - I’m grateful for 500 Rummy (card game) that DD19 and I play. I especially love it when it’s a nice summer night and we play outside with a fire going for ambiance, not warmth - so relaxing.

#3 - I’m most especially for the game of Softball, which I know I’ve talked about a million times and sound like a broken record. The last 12 years have been some of the best 12 years of our lives. Some of my closest friends are because of this game, and this game has helped mold DD19 into the fantastic person that she is. DD19’s first official college game, weather permitting, is Feb 18th. Her college team played in the fall and she had a lot of game time, but they weren’t official games. Everything she’s worked so hard for, overcome injuries and surgeries for, mentally and physically prepared for all gets put to the test now. It’s a very exciting, nervous and stressful time or her - she’s going to be awesome!

Trivia Pursuit - I think we have about 30 different ones - a lot of them Disney
Monopoly - Regular & Disney
Scrabble ❤️❤️
Yattzee
Deck of Cards - tons of games you can play with a deck of cards
We have 4 totes full of games - used to be big thing to have Family Game night when my kids were little
Often Adults would have Saturday game night at least once a month and we tried all the new Games - hence why I have so many !
love playing games - great fun way to pass the time !!! Fond memories of daily games during Summer breaks as a kid or on snow days ! Sure beats cleaning 🤣🤣
