Three Things...Gratitude Thread

Red, White & Blue

Your flag and our flag! Old Glory (I never knew it was nicknamed that) and the Union Jack.

Red: I haven't read all your posts yet, but I'm guessing I'm not the only one who's thinking strawberries and raspberries! 😋 I had some today from a nearby farm shop. Yum.

White: Has anyone dared mention the cold, white stuff that falls from the sky?! :rotfl:I'll play it safe and say vanilla ice cream. I like lots of flavours, but there is something about a really well-flavoured vanilla and it goes with so many things.

Blue: This prompted me to look at some images of blue in nature, since it's more rare. This is stunning

Smile

1. All my animals, but my Moo cat was sitting in our walk in shower last night. Just sitting in the dark. Looking at ne when I turned on the light. Same thing this morning except he was intently chasing his tail.

2. My daughter's nightly dance parties. I think I've shared the kid has NO rhythm. 😂

3. When my sis and family, my parents, and my family are all together ❤️

Good Thursday Morning!

#1 - I’m grateful for all the pictures we have from our recent trip - some of them, like the new ones in my signature, make me smile, especially that Haunted Mansion one.

#2 - I’m grateful for holidays when we all get together - having both sets of parents still with us definitely makes me smile.

#3 - I’m grateful that God blessed me with the ability to be social - there are so many people I talk to every day (patients at my work) that I genuinely enjoy talking to. Yesterday a patient dropped his wife off at the physical therapist down the street and he stopped into the office to hang out and say hi - we had a great conversation about his grandkids and upcoming summer vacation. Many times I get behind in my work because patients (ones that I’ve known for a long time now - I’ve been working there almost 11 years) like to chit chat, but that’s ok, so many are older/elderly and I love talking with them and they make me smile.

Things that make me smile

Catching snippets of old, favourite sitcoms. :happytv:

Decluttering. Space and light just feel different - and make me smile. 🏡

Old Disney memories: The first look up Main Street on a trip; riding Big Thunder; the whoosh of the acceleration on Test Track; any music around Disney parks and resorts (ambient, parades etc.); unpacking in resort room at start of trip; walking into resort gift stores (mainly because they're quieter than park stores); walking around the resort; evenings in the parks... ::MickeyMo::MinnieMo

Moments of real connection with another person. You know, when you're really on the same wavelength. :chat:

Actually, also moments of connection with animals. :dogdance:

Music that reminds me of teenage summers. 🎵

ETA: Adding in the emojis, today, made me smile, too!

My first stop was puppies and kittens but mostly puppies. They’re just so adorable.

My second thought is all the crazy stuff I did as a kid and got away with - I sit and think back on it and it does it. It makes me smile.

And then the fun times I had with my kids all the crazy things that they did and we did

And then those crazy things that happen at work that you just said, and then you just start laughing and laughing and laughing because otherwise, what are you gonna do?

So many things, but I'll go with -

1. Ted Lasso - DH and I just started watching this a couple weeks ago. He just makes me smile, he's such a good guy. My kids can't believe I watch it because of all the cussing, but I love it!

2. This thread - everyday, I smile at all the things people come up with. Memories are brought up by other people sharing things they are grateful for!

3. Listening to the radio on the way to work and back home.
